Sorry for some poor quality... hard taking a photo from a moving sportscar! I have to also include this photo of a the 288 GTO.... it may in fact be my favorite photo I've ever taken! Jas A big thanks to making a few recomendation for Harry earlier... God.... You know... but... OMG The power in the Ferrari F40 is simply awesome! The sounds, and the feel of tire ripping accellearation ON THROTTLE... no matter what car I've driven, or been driven in... I honestly don't think much compares to the F40... in some ways, the powerband in the CGT reminds me of it... but different. i suppose its the way the on boost, off boost feel is. I'm VERY impressed... even though I work in and around an F40 quite often... i've never had a ride at WOT... something VERY special, thanks to Harry, and thanks to you Jas One VERY satisfied man here!!! I hope everybody enjoyed Meeting Camillo... it's often rare to meet a car designer of something as a modern Icon as the Ford GT Thanks to David for getting him out of bed OMG, I could hardly believe what Kurt had done... That was great driving with him in the supercar convoy's..... boost up just a bit? haha!!! Great to finally spend some time with the crew. Thanks Isaac for everything. Hope you enjoyed the boosted blast!! Looking fwd to the next gathering. H
Hi Isaac, Thanks for making me get up early yesterday. Things got a little infectious, enough so to bring the car out for a run. The last time I did that I had a X who was suing me for possession of it during our war of the roses divorce and I needed to get it out of the house for fear of what she might do to it. I had a great time. It was nice to meet some new friends, Harry and Scott, I would like to thank you for the escort drive home. It was great seeing the F-40, Vector W8 and Lamborghini Diablo Roadster all together on the road! I’m pretty sure we turned a couple of heads yesterday.
It was a WILD day.... everything, the whole day... I can't believe I was part of it all I still can't believe you got her out!
AWESOME, the ride there was a blast, F40 288GTO 348 Spider F355 Ford GT Great show. Lots of fun Harry, your F40 is Beautiful, it was nice meeting you.
Thanks for the Great Pictures, more PLEASE, of the event! I can't travel these days, but my heart was with you all! The older cars from the FERRARIS, Maserati Ghiblis, to the Lambos, the Ford GTs, ETC. I'm sure made this event a very special one! Bravo, to all of you! Even MICHIGAN, won! Ciao...Paolo
Ditto and THANKS! I think we made everyone that was at that gas stations month! Looking forward to talking with you more @ the BBQ. Best
Great photos as usual Isaac. I like these two the best. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was a great event, a very high concentration of exceptional cars. Karen and I only wore our ferrari polo shirts and shorts in the hopes of tolerable temps....but we froze instead. Oh well.....call us optomists anyways I have never seen a 288 GTO in person before so that was real treat. Same for the Vector W8. As we were driving up to the event we followed the Bugatti Veyron so that was a magical site and sound. The Maserati MC12 had an incredible sound to it also, kinda reminded me of a 333sp a little bit. It was a pleasure to see so many from the Michigan chapter of the FOC - I enjoyed visiting with all of you and can't wait to do it again. You guys missed a great party....hot models, auction, great food, a girl singing that looked just like Phoebe from Friends, martinis and all inside an awesome home. The pics below are thanks to Joey C. There is even one of some kid trying to sell Mo some Girl Scout cookies at the show. ROTFLMAO VK430GT shows up. Was his dad there with the Flying Spur or Arnage T or V8 Vantage or whatever the exotic du jour was?
Sorry guys but I was pretty disappointed with the number of cars there. I can see just as many Italian cars on a nice day driving around Oakland county. On the plus side it didn't rain and it wasn't crowded. If this event is promoted more it could be huge-hopefully next year...
OK then, go drive around forhours and do that then. We will not miss you next year. I guess you also didn't know that this event was only planned hardly 3 weeks ago. Would there be some changes that would be done for next year? Absolutely... For one, get the F-car supercars together in a circle, make a lambo circle, alfa, fiat, lancia etc. etc. I for one had A TON of fun, and will remember it for a VERY long time... the rest of my life! my first time riding in an F40 at over crawl (WELL OVER crawl)... riding in a small F-car convoy to the show in some of the craziest cars on the planet... totally implacable!
Vik was there, sans Dad, sans Flying Spur or Arnage. He was there with his older brother (walking a pug) and Vik pointed out his Yj to me, then 10 seconds later, someone was driving away in it. I said: "Hey Vik, someone is taking off in your YJ!" He responded: "That's my older brother, he's not a car guy so he's probably over there waiting for me" What a character.
you know i don't..he grabed me as i was leaving...don't know what his dad looks like or what cars if any they brough
It was on the small side, however, it was bigger than I was anticipating. Enzo, F40, 288 GTO, and all the rest. Great cars, Great people. I had an opportunity to ride in the 288 GTO, what an experience. If I never ride in another Ferrari again, I'm satisfied. Isaac gave some of us the grand tour of the Vector. That thing still gets me. I've seen it a couple of times over the last few years, and I still have to pinch myself to ensure I'm not dreaming. I saw two other 348's there, which was a treat for me, having a chance to talk to Camillo, meeting Harry and the rest. It was a full day, let me tell you. I look forward to next year.
It was a great day. Excellent turn out IMHO as very few of the same cars, hence the ones there were all unique and all were in beautiful trim. Not a single slouch sans the F40. Well preshow anyway. Thank God for Jas and the quick diagnosis and fix of my left bank or Isaac would've been hugely disappointed in the drive as would I. I finally got to meet those I've been corresponding with via this forum and believe me they were worth the trip alone even if NO cars would've been present. Fantastic group of owners here in MI. Glad to be a small part of it. It was truely my pleasure gentlemen! best
