Concorso '07 is on!! I just got off the phone with Frank Campanale and he has decided (because of pressure from guys like us!) that he will do the Concorso again this year. He had at first decided that he didn't have the time as he is extremely busy w/ his business. It will be held on Saturday 9/15 in a 10 acre field across the street from Tom Celani's house in Turtle Lake subdivision in Bloomfield Hills (see link below). The field will be mowed and then steam rolled, so it will be in great condition. Cars will need to be in place by 11:00 a.m. and it will open to the public at noon. There will be a party and wine tasting at one of the model homes in Turtle Lake with a fashion show, wine, great food, bocce tutoring, etc. The event will benefit the Fan Club Arts Foundation for students of the arts that can't afford to buy their own instruments, art supplies, etc. on their own. A $10 donation for each car will be appreciated to help Frank cover his costs, although I think we can all give more than that. Details to follow as to where to RSVP. This will be a very informal type of atmosphere and everyone that enters will receive a trophy (no other class trophies will be awarded). Come on guys, let's make this a great event for Frank and his charity!

Thats great Jerry. I know where it is, but someone will need to put up a map to the event for the people who are not familiar with Turtle Lake.

P.S. Thanks for doing this Frank.

Okay Mike...I'll start planning now. Is there a limit to the number of entries? Is there a certain criteria that the cars must meet to be in the show? I don't want to show up and look more stupid than I already do....

Here is the Registration form for the Concorso. Initially they were going to charge $10 per car but now the form says $25, so apparently he upped it. Thanks, Jerry.

FYI, Bellesima Festa has been lowered to $75/person instead of $125/person.

We're already 1/4 of the way to capacity guys, so please get the registration forms in ASAP if you would like to attend as 100 cars is the limit that they can handle. I would also like to throw a big THANK YOU to Frank's co-organizer in this great event, Mr.Randy Cox. Randy, I apologize for not mentioning your name already, but I was unaware at the time that you were in this w/ Frank. Tonight I raise my glass (or bottle of cheap beer, truth be told) to Frank and Randy!!

How "pristine" should the car be to enter this event? I keep my car clean but there are lots of little stone chips on the nose and bonnet. If the cars are to be "concours" I don't want to degrade the show by entering with my "driver" Testarossa.

This will be a somewhat informal event Jeff and even if it weren't, your car would still make it in w/ flying colors so please attend!!
