I listen to an online radio with great CD quality at 128-192kbps bit rate. Now on daily basis, I have it on for a good 1-3 hours. To calculate how much bandwidth I pull would you do....

    60 (Second) * 60 (Min in Hour) = 3600 Seconds

    3600 (Seconds in Hour) * N(Number of Hours - Ex 3) = 10800 Seconds in 3 Hours

    10800 (Seconds in 3 Hours ) * 128 (kbps Bit Rate) = 1382400 kbps

    1382400 / 1000 (1MB) = 1382.4MB

    1382.4 (MB) / 1000 (1GB) = 1.3824

Would I be pulling 1.3824 Terabyte of Data?

plus overhead for the different protocols, which is probably in the order of 25%+. 128-192kb would be somewhere in the middle rather than just 128 consistent as your math uses. There's packets heading both directions in the session, not just downstream from the host to your system, and your math just includes the minimum payload.

In other words, divide your answer by 8 and then tack on about 25% :)
