The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is approaching and with it all the other smaller events accompanying it. The categories this year are: Sculpture in Motion: The decade of the automotive arms race, 1928-1938. Glorious Excess: The evolution of the ‘Money no Object’ motor car, 1920-1940. Frozen in Time: Preserved ‘Time Capsules’ from 1900-1973, which have survived in an unrestored state. “Go Big or Go Home”: Automotive excess of the ‘80s and ‘90s, when nothing seemed too fast, expensive or bold. Then there is the Fuori Concorso, an event open to the (paying) public, which is now back to normal size with three event locations: Villa Olmo, Villa Sucota and Villa del Grumello. This years theme is italian racing cars, which will make for some pretty pictures. And another smaller private event of Kimera Automobili which I stumbled across by accident last year. Seeing that I was sadly born with only human riches and to few instagram followers, I probably will have to make do with the public days of the Villa d'Este Concorso. If someone has some blackmail on the pressdepartment from BMW please let me know Here are a few pictures from last year Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
