Did some soul searching and made the decision. It's had little use the past few years and none for a bit over a year.
automatic, dual a/c, Black with tan seats having the darker inserts. Are those "daytona" seats?
You guys are first to know. I'm near Chicago, have reasonable expectations and am committed to selling.

I saw this listing this morning. My car is #40555 and has the same suitcase style took kit. Do you know who did the importation? Good luck with the sale!

What are those extra knobs on the central console for? (The green, yellow, and red ones). I’ve not seen another 400 with those so just wondered what they do.
Good luck with the sale - lovely looking example.

    Good day Gentlemen,

I am unsure if the owner is on fchat and whether he watches any of the threads, and so it would be best to post these questions in the BaT's auction comment section. I suspect others (including me) would be curious to know the answers.

    Cheers,

    Sam

    Good day All,

I suspect that this car will struggle to reach a reasonable price, as there are number of immediate issues that would deter a number of buyers The first is the dash pulling. Although this is not a huge job to remedy, it makes the car look a bit tired and ratty. The second is the exhaust. Clearly there are exhaust leaks underneath the car which could affect one's safety (e.g. potential exhaust/CO entry into the cabin), but also how the car sounds. Given that these immediately visible items were not addressed could leave some concerned that other maintenance items were also overlooked or ignored, and thus minimizing the number of potential buyers and bid amounts. It is a shame, as a bit of maintenance, repairs, and perhaps some additional videos (driving, walk around, etc) would have gone a long way to reaching more interested parties and potentially more and higher bids. However, the auction is not yet finished and so perhaps there will be more bidding action near the end of the auction?

    Cheers,

    Sam

    Good day All,

The BaT auction for chassis 39577 ended without meeting reserve... The last bid was $36K. The owner posted that the reserve was $45K

    Cheers,

Generally a bad time for "mid range" collector cars.
