Did anyone else notice how far offset the transmission in the SLR was? Interesting layout. The pedals would have taken some getting used to. CW

They do take some getting used to, the shift pattern is also rather strange and needs some practice. 1 3 5 R 2 4 The brakes use a hydraulic boost system that is driven from the transaxle that works quite well when the car is moving more than 30mph. Below that the pedal effort is quite high. We had a great time, we did have to take it a bit easy because the hail in the face was a bit painful. As you can see the windscreen is a bit low for me.
