Thought there may be some interest in a period correct accessory, Coco mat floor mats.
If you grew up in the 60s and 70s like me, you remember many European Cars had Coco Mats. I got a set from www.cocomats.com and recieved these for the Mondial. They sent me their patterns which were a little 'oversized', so I resized them to fit perfectly snug and flat.
I got black and grey which you see here. They actually do fit snugly and flat and are held by the contours of the floor and tunnel. The quality seems very high. It really brought a smile to my face as it is such a period item and holds a lot of memories for me. Would especially think these would look good in the older 60s-70s cars, and they are happy to cut them to your custom requirements.
    No affilliation, yada yada

My 'To do' list after every car I buy:

    1. schedule clear bra install
    2. order cocoa mats
    3. plan mods
    4. start obsessing over next purchase.

I have a garage full of cocoa mats from previous cars.

    1) OK, I'm about to go the website to see things like... price. What did it cost?
    2) What do you have mats in your garage for, we might have buyers!!! ;)

    They're really cheap. Like around 100. I have some for M3, e39M5, 996tt.

I had those in a 1984 7 series BMW, and I did like them.

However, I did notice that being porous the dirt finds its was to the floor carpets and caused them to wear a bit from the mat movement.

Yes - good point which I also was concerned about; These actually have solid rubber backing where nothing goes through.
