Hi all. Has anyone applied clear windshield films to your Ferraris? I just applied the exoshield to a 718 spyder and find it’s somewhat distorting my vision. GTS on the way and doing a full PPF, but would like to also shield windshield from pitting and chips. Any feedback is appreciated.

Have clearplex on my F8, looks perfectly clear to me. Initially perhaps some minor visibility of the film, but went away after a week or so.

I have clearplex on a couple of vehicles and they are currently installing it on my GTS. There might be a tiny distortion if you're looking for it but since your eye focuses through it you dont notice it. Just have to put that cream or paste on it every month or two plus make sure you never use your wipers without fluid on the film. It does its job. I had some stones kick up from car in front of me recently going through roadwork and I was very happy I had the clearplex.

I did a full paint correction + ppf + ceramic. When they did the ceramic they also coated the windshield. There is no distortion because it’s not a film. That might be a better route to go.

I have it on the Lusso and 488, and I won't do it again. After a while on cars that are regularly driven, it gets hazy. On top of that, my windshields have been just as shot from stones as usual, and now my Lusso windshield is cracking. All I got was less visibility. Not for me.

I have clearplex on speciale, little distortion when you look for it. I went with Bray 2 layers on g63. Everything is great probably because the windshield is completely flat. Nothing on Gtc4lusso windshield and no chips or cracks yet, knock on wood.

This is the experience of other friends of mine who have done this. They all say its better to not do it.

I have clearplex on my G63, but I don't really ever put it on the cars. The edges aren't perfectly hidden (due to the thickness of the stuff), it's an absolute requirement for a G wagon or something with a flatter windshield, and you don't notice any visibility issues. On the cars, I'd imagine with the windshield rake being that much more aggressive it might cause some issues with the angle you're looking through the stuff, and the windshield rake is MUCH better at deflecting debris vs. a flatter one. Just my $.02
