Anybody ever remove the walnut (I guess it's walnut) console face and clean the levers (defrost, electric antenna, choke, etc.) Mine are difficult to push up and down and I know it's only a matter of time before one of them breaks off. I have a feeling a replacement choke lever for a 400A could be a might hard to locate. Plus, the walnut looks dry so I wonder what should be used to clean and polish it. Anybody ever tackle these tasks?

i use lemon oil, applied with a q tip on old wood.

i would talk to a retorer first as it may stain any leather or trim around it.

Lemon oil, that sounds just right. I think I'll just leave the levers frozen for a while longer. Don't need the choke in New Orleans anyway.
