You have asked for some replies about a car your interested in, great, that's what we are here for isn't it? So why not make it easy on yourself and be open with your communication. Rightly or wrongly, a person that posts 5 messages a year since they registered then requests information about a car for sale with a blank profile isn't exacly going to make a good first impression, don't you think? You could be seller for all we know. Anyway, up to you!!

Hi Matt, we have an aversion to helping out people that just want to suck the Ferrari community dry to lowball an offer for a ferrari but if anyone here has any good information on this car , and Carl has worked on it, then he is the right one for you.

Also, if you are getting upset with his posts then you won't last long here, that was mild by the poor standards we have set in the past , we just like to know who we are talking to and what their real interest is in posting.

BTW, being an arsehole is a pre-requisite of getting into this weird community, Carls first words to me on the phone were "are you a poof like the rest of us here in Melbourne ?"

Naturally my reply was " Would love to be but here in QLD they have forbidden it!! "

With PP "out-of-town" it's had time to repair

 

this car has been discussed here multiple times. Search the market thread. I drove it and came close to buying it(in 2009 when it was for sale at Duttons) but was gazumped as it was on its way to a PPI. The late Fchat member Modeler then drove it and had a PPI done in about 2010/11 when it was up for sale again. It had some issues and needed about $20k thrown at it. If you're serious get another PPI

Talking of CTS,they have one of the most eyewateringly expensive 2 door Range Rovers' I've seen.$15K for a barnfind!
The LHD Masser Mistral that was on Gumtree has appeared there as well,with no price at present.

Fundamentally that is as nice a looking fibreglass 308GTB as you are ever going to find. Underneath that attractive and well preserved presentation there may be mechanical issues, who knows? But if there is one person who knows plenty about these cars and would be a good guy to have onside, well....its Carl888. Build a bridge !! At the price they are asking that is GBP75k today and you have to ask if you could find better in UK and get it here for less? Likely not. I stick my hand up for CTS, I think they have done an admirable job of bringing Classic Cars to a high profile in this country, presenting such a wide open offering on your doorstep costs money and they are entitled to a profit. Plenty of sellers are grateful for their professional marketing efforts. I have no connection to either the car or CTS.
