It always has been.

 

I enjoy watching this fellas every week. Pure entertainment. Latest episode, i think was a bit letdown though.

 

Today's episode was fantastic. The Ferrari-Ford LeMans battle bit was very well done.

 

Clarkson is a fraud and a thug. Good luck to his imbeciles who wanted to continue the fraud. I have less interest than if it was the Cardisheans reporting.

 

Completely agree. I really like the historic bit, where they explained what happened, the money involved, who was involved in developing the GT40. Can't wait fo rthe next episode.

 

I don't mind all the schtick and scripted fun but when it comes to getting an accurate test on the car's performance, I'm not sold on the Nascar hillbilly's take or his lap times . I laugh at his comments but am left wondering what the real time difference is between the M4 and 911. A little more convinced of the LaFerrari/918/McLaran test but with all their drag race joking and blunders done in the name of humor I'm not convinced one good lap from an F1 backup driver is accurate either.. especially when his scripted jokes were also part of the fun.

 

I just treat it as pure entertainment, nothing more.

This last one was the best by far to me.

The celebrity death thing needs to go.

I can also see how the American would be popular outside of America but that needs to go as well.

 

somehow, i think all manufacturers didn't allow those cars to properly go head to head. WHich is why there were 3 different winners in 3 different drag race.

As for Jerome, an F1 reject, from what I recall to test those cars....he hardly looked convincing. In fact, there's many times he could barely control those cars. The Stig, OTOH, looked absolutely calm and collected. Like he was born into those cars he's setting those lap times.

 

problem with gt is that theyre trying to make it a comedy show first, car show second. comedy is very, very hard to do. just look at snl with all the writers they have, still rarely funny.

and now with the stupid Hammond ice cream/gay comment, theyre going to be in trouble. and it made no sense as a joke at all either.

just keep it about cars but told with typical british dry humor. much easier to do and what we all tune in for anyway

Just watched the last episode and I have never laughed harder at a prank. I hope they can overcome the bad writers soon.

 

You can't compare MT to GT....come on now.

 

the travelogue through Namibian desert is a good episode so far.

 

I've been enjoying the episodes. Yes, some parts are drawn out. Others are just bad. But the chemistry is still there and that's what makes the show work.
The beach buggy episode was awesome.

It does. Good analogy and quite apt. That true relationship/friendship can't be faked.

 

I thought it was a great episode. The three hosts they narrowed it down to were my favorite of the bunch. The FXX-K bit was fantastic.

 

Just watched1st episode of season 2 gt. Big improvement on season 1. Eliminate celeb crash and the american. Good. But still not on point. Past, present, future segment is clever but I learned nothing. Hammond crash basically ignored too. Hope it improves as much as season 2 tg did.
