Chrome wheels on red.

I've seen the standard 360 wheels in chrome on a red car, they looked fair. I would never put them on my car. I hate 360's with aftermarket chrome wheels. I personally like the car to have the exact wheels that the manufacturer put on the car when it rolled off the line.

 

Chrome can make a car look fantastic or very cheap. The ball polished rims that Ferrari offered on the 430 look great IMO (are those really chromed?). It really depends on the car. Certain cars can pull it off, others fail at the attempt. In the end do what makes you satisfied.

 

I would have to see the wheel in question. Generally I don't like chrome wheels.

 

I've never seen a chrome wheel that I liked. I agree that Ferrari's ball polished finish can look good (it's a painted finish).

 

I never liked chrome wheels on any vehicle - just bling... but it is personal taste, so if you like it, do it.

Stay away from chrome on a Ferrari, makes the car look cheap In My Opinion. If you want a shinier clean look consider a brushed finish, very classy...

I think chrome wheels will take value from the car on resale too.

 

Chrome depends on personal taste and style wheel ...I have chrome HRE on my 360 and receive nothing but compliments and many inquiring about the wheel.

On the other hand, I hate the black or gunmetal wheels. I think hyper silver offers the best compromise ...

Cant see how chrome takes away from the value ...if its the right wheel such as the 19" 430 wheel some will like some will not but no effect on price especially when you still have the factory wheels...

None of us will ever agree about wheels ... that's a fact. Many dislike chrome, but just as many seem to like chrome. I posted my own question about wheels a few weeks ago and the overwhelming favorites were CS wheels. In the end I opted for Scud wheels -- found several threads where people love Scud wheels, but this wasn't the case with my own thread. Get a CS thread started and it's the rim that fellow fchatters will love. Get a Scud thread started and this is the rim that will be loved. Okay, it's a gross generalisation, but you get the idea.

Bottom line -- buy whatever you like, but keep the stock wheels as the next guy to own your car might not like your choice of rim.

 

Personal preference thing. I just took my chrome wheels off my red 360 spider and replaced them with scud wheels. I like the look better; however, if you want chrome wheels the GFG wheels look great. I have mine listed on ebay, but would love to sell them to a forum member Great condition and nearly new Contis on them. Here's a pic with the staggered 19 and 20 in wheels. Also, included a pic with the new scud wheels.

i have a 360 spider yellow over dark navy blue with chrome hamann,i think they look good but most say no.

 

Honestly. Chrome is "OK" in exotic cars, but is really HARD to find wheels that are Chrome and look good on the NSX, of course, is just my opinion.

Scud wheels look good would look even better Chrome or at least hyper silver

Okay, English 101. As written, your statement was a statement of fact. Just because you and others agree, this doesn't make it factually correct. It needs to have IMHO (or similar) inserted in it.

And they look good, but thank God they're not chrome-plated Scud wheels, which would be too disgusting for words IMHO!!!!
