Not exceptional hp either i think they said 350 which seems achievable in an air-cooled pcar without 11k rpm, but I guess the rpm is part of the superbike theme.
In any event, quite an accomplishment 1800lbs and no word on price, ill bet its a gazillion.

The weight is impressive, but is this even a Porsche? Seems like everything was replaced….

At this price need underlying beauty of e type so give me an eagle instead. 911 shape just doesn't do it

But anyone have info on how motor revs so high and what it's maintenance is?

Problem is it’s encroaching on real 911 Carrera RS territory. If I were spending $1M on a “Porsche”, I’d want the original. I like the Eagle E-Type, but the ‘73 RS is up there in automotive icon pantheon — certainly in my own top 10 all-time list.

Then again, the buyer for this probably has a heavier checkbook than I do…

magnificent human achievement, the bleeding edge of what's possible. I guess if one were a billionaire and liked it why not. But IMO for a fast 9111 something like a ruff lightweight falls more into the realm of reality vs cost.

Its all indicative though of a desire for more visceral real cars, machines you actually operate. meanwhile the OEMs are offering ever more techno bloated machines.
These true to form just amped up to 20 resto mods(as opposed to bling mods) seem to the future of ICe for well heeled enthusiasts. Fully sorted cars, true to the vision of the original. We're simply seeing nothing form the showroom that comes even close.

Saw my first Gt4rs at the track a month ago. the front end looked like it had one too many botox shots and in general the car looked overdone. That's just the esthetics, Im sure it drives great.

Constantly reminded of the appeal of a steam train vs and electric commuter train. There is just something to awaking a machine, round gauges and you have to still operate it. That's all [part of the fun engagement. To the extent the car is really worked out, to use the motorcycle analogy, the machine becomes and extension of yourself, hardwired to the brain. Moderns just don't do that, in fact very few cars do that at all.

Owner of that particular car is Hong Kong based P.K., he and his father M.K. own or have owned quite a few amazing cars including a 250TR, Porsche 904, etc. PK also just took delivery of an Alfaholics GTA-R. He is also the owner of a Tuthill Safari 911. He really does use his cars which is a great thing IMO. Good thing for these smaller resto mod shops that there are patrons willing to pay to see how far they can go. With a car like the 911, with millions made, the more spice the better.

A RUF would cost more than that.
