    Thanks! :)

Yeah, I should seriously join the foundation.... but $1,800 member fee is a bit high for me.

No too cool, it's kinda like buying a patch that says you donated blood when you did'nt. Not cool at all.

The frame won't help much as you really need the badge.

BTW, it is a good cause and tax deductible.

It just me out a no seatbelt/front license plate ticket.

It doesn't work if you are seriously out of control.

I've heard many stories about the infamous "11-99 plate frame." I have heard that all you need is the license plate frame. Either way, compared to the donation I guess this isn't a bad investment.

I think you should withdraw your bid Patrick. The foundation helps Family's of fallen CHP Officers. I do not know you personally, but I have read many posts over the months and always felt you were a good guy... but I think your judgement on buying a license plate frame and bypassing the foundation is something you need to rethink... $1,800 is alot of money, but some guy's think its a good way to get out of tickets. I think I need to let your neighbor know that you are a kinda guy that would buy a 11-99 frame off of e-bay. Just kidding, Unless of course you do make high bid. Then I will have to hook up with Mr H2. Ha Ha!

Well, here are my 2 cents........If you drive around the 15 freeway allot, by all means, get an 11-99, yes, it does help but if you do the lifetime membership with them you do get he honarary badge.........I mainly drive around LA around the 5 and 605 and have greatly benefitted from the California State Sherriff Association plate frames........which are much cheaper....I used to buy them bulk for some of the guys on the S2000 forum. Just wanted to share that.

    LOL Marc!!

Its poor taste to put the frame on your car. Would you claim you donated to families of soldiers slain in action when you really didn't? Its the same principle and I would urge you to rethink.

Then just go to the mall and have a high school kid make you one at one of the license plate stands.
And by the way I hope they tell all their friends to water down such a good cause.
Buy the Rolex Daytona too, maybe the escrow company can handle both transactions for the price of one.....
