So I need a little here with this one. Drove the car for a bit yesterday and then brought her home to do my weekend washing etc. Did spray water directly in or on the radiator, much less the engine bay...just wanted to be clear here.

The wife and I were going to go to dinner and I went in the garage to warm the car up. I had parked in the larger part of the garage and not the 3rd car portion so I could wash inside. So apparently there is a little decline on that side. I went to start it to warm it up and I realized the blocks behind the wheels so I removed them and took of the emergency brake. Then I realized I forgot my glasses, so I ran inside and came right back out.

OH CRAP! The car rolled down the driveway and in to the street resting at my neighbors driveway....no harm done other than the scrape of fiberglass where the bottom hit the lip of my driveway. So I left it home and too the DD.

But now! The radiator makes this chirp chirp chirp. I thought it was the fans but they ultimately kicked on when I ran it this morning. I ran her for about 20 mins, the temp hit the expected level and then the fans kicked on. All the while it chirped.

My video file was too large, so there is audio and the chirp is very distinct. There is no leaking of fluid at all and the temperature stays static at it's normal level.

I really could use some input on this one.

Small animal squeaking hidden in the car somewhere? I personally have never heard a radiator chirp. Belts, pulleys, bearings yes but radiators no. The vent fans are located up front maybe one is on and making the noise?

It the sound is from the radiator area, I would guess one of the radiator fans is making the chirping. Does it make the sound when cold and the fans are not running?

It's not one of the fans. The radiator makes the noise while the fans are off. I thought for sure at first it was the fans as well, it's not. I can't figure this out.

So I just checked it and it's tight. What I just noticed is that if I turn the key all the way to the right, just before I would turn to start the car, it starts to chirp without the engine running...like a pump or something of some sort??

What's up front that could be making a rhythmic pumping sound or moving? [keep it clean :)]

Do you have an aftermarket alarm system? It could be making the chirp (if you have an aftermarket alarm, my advice is to get rid of it - they are nothing but a problem waiting to happen and an unnecessary battery drain). What about a modern radio? Sometimes they can do generate a chirp based on low voltage (as could an alarm), or based on some particular setting/alert or just getting screwed up internally.

Note that low voltage might cause the issue with an alarm/radio and that good voltage at the battery does NOT mean good voltage at an alarm or radio, depending on the connections/wiring.

No aftermarket alarm system. Fans run great, while the car stays at a good stable operating temperature.

It's very strange. I even drove it normally with the chirp still continuing. I'll take it to FoD and have them check it out.
