    Time for another events thread for the Great Lakes Chicago region. Let's start with Road America in Wisconsin, the best track in the USA!! IMSA is heating up again, so maybe some great cars coming to RA in late July. Historic races also in mid July and the GT World Challenge is back in August, for supercar fans.

    Also, Fuelfed 2025 February swap meet. The 2025 Fuelfed calendar is not completed yet but expect Winnetka, Lake Forest, Barrington, Hinsdale and maybe St. Charles to continue on Sundays.

    Ten years ago, these Alfa's cars were at the Chicago Auto Show to highlight the return of Alfa Romeo. My have things changed as they killed the importance of Auto Shows almost overnight, and Alfa/Maserati are on life support. Also, on life support VW/Audi, Nissan, jaguar, and almost everyone else. Even Tesla has shown sales drops.

    Is anyone going to the 2025 Chicago Auto Show??

    Looks like the IMSA 2026 Road America race will go back to 6 hours. Last time they did a long race at RA it ended after dark which was very cool.

    Well, I registered my 1969 GTAM at the Alfa concours at Crystal Lake in September. I hope they also start having more Fuelfed events at St. Charles. The Bristol owner at Fuelfed today says he stores his collection in St Charles, so a long drive to the north shore. I think car collectors are attracted to the fox valley and western suburbs because the streets are wide open and in good condition.

    I think those are for people who want a new car that looks like an old car. Almost everything on that GTA is carbon fiber, and not much is stock Alfa. It's sort of like the Singer 911's. We might see a new Singer at Fuelfed soon as someone told me they have one on order.
