It is a fuel pipe that may leak and cause a fire.

they will fit a new pipe with a rubber sleeve on it.

Apparently letters will go out in July.

    mine shows completed Also.

    go figure?!?

My 296 doesn’t even show up in my app. I’ve had it for over a month.

Yeah it was a weird one. I got in a few weeks ago and started it up, and the ICE kicked in straight away, and an error message saying “Engine Control System Failure” came up on the dash. It would not switch into E mode at all. I drove for about 20 mins, and when i got out there was a really loud fan noise coming from the drivers side, rear of the car…..and it didn’t switch off for around 1 hour. I then plugged it in to charge and when it got to 100% it just carried on charging….
So it went into the service centre and they said it was a faulty electric water pump (i assume cooling something to do with the hybrid system), for which i hope a replacement is arriving for tomorrow and then i can get the car back later in the week !

So despite the Ferrari app saying my car needed a recall, and it is completed…..my service centre say they haven’t done anything, and having checked my VIN it doesn’t need a recall ‍♂️

Same for me. The dealer knows nothing (as usual), the recall is completed ... utter nonsense.

I checked with my dealer as well and they say that from the information they have at present it appears to only affect a small number of US market cars currently but they cannot deinitively rule out that it will not affect other markets. As of yet there is no recall from the factory and no stop sale order either. My app also shows recall C24000085 being carried out but my dealer says this was not done by them so must have been carried out by the factory. They are looking into what it covers.

You can check your VIN here to see if there are any outstanding recalls https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/auto/recall-information

My car has been stuck in NJ port for 11 weeks and my dealer says there is a stop sale order on all 296s. The original problem was discovered on a Chinese market car in March and by reports the factory has already instituted a change on the assembly since April 20th. There is no word on what cars will be repaired first, cars already sold or cars in port waiting to be sold, only that owners will be contacted by letter by July 7th. Kind of stinks that a car built 3 months after mine could be delivered before mine.

My car is in the same situation in NJ. I just heard from my dealer yesterday that Ferrari is now going to send the cars to the dealers with this recall part to be fixed. Timeframe is supposed to be in the next 7-14 days.

Does seem to be the height of lazy administration and software systems. Mark a wider range of VINs as needing the recall (to be safe?) and then mark as completed those that do not when the problem is located to a smaller range.

If they need an audit they could just add another flag, "not required" and thus stop all the confusion of the app indicating a recall is needed and completed when no such thing has occurred. These days good software architects write these things in their sleep – oh, I forgot, its all about the "engine", nothing else is material o_O

The recall is now showing on the app. I've checked with my dealer and the factory have marked this as an urgent campaign and parts are available for dealers to order. The job takes 90 minutes to complete according to the bulletin.

Give it time and it will likely update. Mine previously showed as being performed as well but now shows just as a recall with links to book it in. The parts have not yet been delivered to the dealers to do the work.
