Daniel. Take a look at the set of wheel studs/nuts I just posted into the FerrariAds, see if you can use them? Otherwise, I will post a set of my "generic" Ferrari wheel bolts, non chrome when I get my car back from the Shop. They are "long" and "short" just like the OEM bolts.
I have an extra 308 Engine Strut if you need it. Just let me know how to ship it to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Juan; The strut finally arrived!! My forwarding company messed up and accidentally gave it to another customer... thankfully this person realized it wasn't his and gave it back! Anyways, here it is, safe and sound, stored among the other parts! Thank you very much once again! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The parts I managed to get ahold of last december are finally here!! I now have all the major components for the suspension and steering systems!! Yaaaay!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
... are 7 1/2 x 14" Cromodoras, so that's what 37313 will have then! I still need to find 2 of these wheels, if anyone has a lead or actually has one (or two) of these for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know! I'm not picky about the condition they're in! ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One thing I do need help with is this bushing. Now... I know that it is available complete, as a set, from superformance. And I also know that individual components are available from Ricambi and most other part dealers. However, I already have about 50% of the bushing components that came along with the suspension arms, so I intend to machine the missing parts. Has anyone replaced these bushings recently and still have the old ones lying around? I only need one of each part circled in the diagram in order to reproduce the ones I need. If anyone has a used one and is willing to sell or donate it to the project, I would really apreciate it!! Please let me know! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm also looking for this "link" in the steering column, if anyone has a lead, please PM me!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey man. Great to see that this is still going. Great to see that people jumped on donating/good deals on parts. One of my favorite threads, a car built by the whole community in a country where it is basically impossible to have one. What I really like is it combats the it is too expensive to restore 308's mentality that was the belief before they went up in value. I mean this car was a total wreck and piece by piece it is being reborn. I would try to stay as original as possible. We'll get you an engine someday.... Keep it up. IMO this is what a real Ferrari guy is all about. Keeping em keeping on. Cheers.
Please do! And let me know if you find something interesting!! :-D Thank you, Vincent, for your constant support! This is no "easy" enterprise, but I try to concentrate on the joy that every little new bit of progress brings, and that makes me enjoy myself enough to keep on going! ;-) Originality-wise; it's amazing, I thought I would have jumped into mixing parts from other makes a long time ago! Somehow, destiny is working hard to keep it all "made in Ferrari" until now!!
Hola daniel, Some success. See attached. The metal you will need to remake as these are used but the rubber parts are extras I didnt use - new. I thought i had thrown out the metal but no, i out them away to use as shims etc for some future project. Better you have them. I have a few other items, what is you address? What is the best way to describe parts for customs? Any other tips for successful postage let me know. Los mejores deseos! Guy Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you so much for this Guy!!! Many small "bonus" parts here!!! Yaaay!!! I'll be rushing the metal suspension parts to the machine shop next week! I'm so happy!!!!!! It is so exciting to finally begin to put some things together, rather than taking them apart!!! Thank you so much for your generosity, once again!! I was able to get these rearview mirrors! I know, I know... these are not original Ferrari items, but they do resemble the original Euro mirrors (although they're a tat smaller in size); I've seen some of these installed on 308s and I quite like how they look! I believe BigTex has a pair on his yellow car, is that correct? These are the famous Vitaloni "Baby Turbo" mirrors. I bought them from a VW guy that had them installed on a 1970's VW Beetle... and I'm not even going to tell you how much I paid for these, because it was waaaay too cheap for me to brag about it, LOL! They're in quite a decent shape, actually. There are even traces of some type of "dressing" applied to the plastic parts by the previous owner, and the rubber boots are perfect, no cracking or signs of aging whatsoever! Bit by bit... we're getting there, fellas! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Absolutely!! I use those on my remaining #22127, and they are vastly superior (in actual use) to the tear drop ovals, that only adjust "up and down" on the mounting axis. Those will be great!!! "Baby Turbo" brothers! *high five*
Hi, I think I'm too late to the party with the outing bushings but there are some anti-roll bar clamps (2 in good condition, 2 that took a beating at some point) and a pair of brake pipe supports. If there's anything you want from the picture let me know! Otherwise I'll take them down the tip... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello, Luke! Sorry for not updating the thread as often as I should! There's been some progress on the project, it's just that not very significant milestones have been achieved; mostly small kind of boring stuff. On the other hand, I've been dealing with some personal issues lately that have been keeping "uninspired" to work on the car... don't wanna bring everybody down, so I just won't comment on that. However, everything is being sorted out, and it's all good, so don't worry. Andy 308 GTB gave me a hand forwarding me from the UK part of the steering shaft that was missing... and I finally got ahold of an original steel front valance; that was the last part missing at the front to line everything up perfectly. I could have guessed some of the measurements and saved the cost of this part... but I didn't want to risk ending up with a car that was somehow "off" when parked next to another 308. The car is currently on stands in the garage with the rear suspension on; I'll now proceed to putting the missing rear frame tubes on and straightening the left front A-arms mounting points. Hopefully, the car will be able to stand on its own wheels before July. And I bet that when I see that happening, I'll put everything else on my life on hold in order to move forward with the remaning bodywork! LOL! I'll post pictures as soon as I take them. Happy new year everyone!! Dan
