Where i work we do a lot of CNC routing and i think you are going to run into trouble with that part as the internal radii are too small. For instance it would be impossible to achieve a sharp point on the stars. You may be better off looking for a EDM (electrical discharge machining) specialist to see if they can do it... Edit: just reread and realized it is plastic...scratch the EDM suggestion.
Well... after a lot of thought, I came to realize that this project is pointless, so I decided to sell the car to a metal scrap dealer.
LOL!! You've got it! ;-) Don't worry, that's not gonna happen! Couldn't let this opportunity for a prank go by...
There was an early steel car here In Houston that had similar stripes, nothing crazy, just the "dual lines" on the fenders and door/rear quarter as shown on those pieces. It was the '70s after al!
Checking on this thread and my heart sank as it's too far past to realize right away that it was an April fool's joke. What's the latest?
LOL! Relax, Vincent! Not a chance of that happening... yet! LOL!! Still gathering parts... latest addition was the headlight pod bezel, LH side. I plan to use it to straighten the headlight pod I already have and then make bucks for the RH side taking the LH side as a reference. Later, I'll make those in fiberglass... haven't taken any pictures yet, but will do it sooner than later. Best, Dan
Oh! Almost forgot! I also "upgraded" my roller wheels! ;-) Increased the "rim's diameter" (new ones are wider too!) and lowered the overall height of the car... guess that would qualify as having "tuned" the suspension, right? LOL!!! Those little casters weren't quite apropiate for the application... and the car sat waaay to high, so I cut the legs 10cm and got bigger caster wheels to push it around my back yard easier ;-) Will also post pictures son!

Matu this is my second post on the forum. I'm expecting your call as soon as you've read my first post hehehe Sometimes we speak Face to Face (last time Was when i've took those pics with 328) often we speak by the phone... Now we'll be chatting here... Nice!!! I've just read the entire post and is really amazing!! Congrats on the Project once moré time!! Now a few words for You gays suppporting this Project thru this forum: I know Matu since he Was 16 and restoring his Mustang, we share so many great momments around cars but is nothing compared with the friendship you can read here. I'm hearing his stories about this post but is way better to read it completly. Thabks guys for the support You are giving to this friend... BTW i'm not the owner of the 328 on the pics but i Was with Matu that day. I wish I'd become a Ferrari owner soon... Matu mi ingles no es muy bueno así que si algo no se entendió ayúdame para que lo comprendan los muchachos. Abrazo!
LOL! Hello, Jose! Glad to see you around here! I bet you'll enjoy this forum as much as (or even more than) I do! Check out the "Vintage" section... ;-) Como ya lo habrás notado, el progreso detallado lo posteo aquí, ya que hay muchos pormenores que son mejor valorados por los más entendidos que por la colectividad entusiasta en general. Guys; I'd like to introduce you to Jose. Like he already mentioned, he's a long time friend of mine and one of the biggest enthusiast/collector of Alfa Romeos here in Paraguay. He also has many other brands among his (and his dad's) collection, but I know Alfa Romeos are what really makes his heart beat at a higher pace. He's also been a long time 328 fan, and hopefully finds his way into ownership sooner than later. Jose, te llamo más tarde al cel! Un fuerte abrazo y gracias por las líneas! :-D No hay muchos paraguayos por acá... a ver si con el tiempo cambiamos eso! ;-)
Thank you so much, jmaienza, for supporting this project!!! This is a very valuable addition to the now quite large collection of parts! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you once again, Jim400i! These parts are VERY elusive, to say the least! I'm still a long way from completing the front steering/suspension, BUT I'm actually closer than I expected! Only parts missing right now are the front hubs and the steering rack! Now, if only someone had those parts lying around... I would gladly "discard" them for ya!! Of course, the suspension arms are also missing, but I intend to build those from scratch... I just want to have all the other components at hand in order to begin with that project. Daniel you know how I'm slow but I may have a susp arm or two. Let me know if you want them if I find them. I think they were rear ones.
I've ordered a new clutch and I should do it this weekend. I love the car. Drove 2000km within a couple weeks. It's a good car. I will try to look at all my old 308 stuff and tell you what I have.
I'm glad you're enjoying it... I know how hard it was for you to let Sera go! I'm eager to know what you have in your old parts bin ;-) Have a great weekend!
With this last addition, officially, most of the body panels for the car have been aquired!! This is a really nice engine lid, and is located quite close to my forwarder's office in Miami. It will be shipped to me by boat, so waiting for it to arrive will be a real bummer... but well, I'm getting used to wait by now. I've always been a patient person... but this project is taking my patience to a whole new level... Ohmmmm... Ohmmmm... Anyways, I'm focused on suspension bits and pieces now... so, if anyone is anoyed by damaged A-arms, springs... even busted shock absorbers, collecting dust in the garage, please drop me a line! ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
