    Looking for the buyer of Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetti SWB, sold by Mike S. approximatedly three weeks ago. The car has been misrepresented as a matching numbers cars, when in fact the engine has been overstamped without property certification by the Factory. The broker who sold this car, broke numerous contracts that were in place to protect the buyer and seller. Please contact me if you have any information as to the current buyer, living on the east coast. This is not right, Ferrari's Marque is at stake.

    Looks like the buyer's problem to me.

    I doubt the marque has much at risk.

    Seems like Rob might want to delete this thread. The OP is stating as "fact" that something fraudulent has been done, without giving any proof. Rather like the issue with 0799GT? Why get dragged into a dogfight like that? Just saying.

    This is nothing like 0799GT.

    There is no allegation 0799GT has a counterfeit engine stamping.

    The issue's surrounding 0799GT are limited to damage to the reputation of the lawful owner of 0799GT that may have been caused by advertisements that Cavallino and FML ran.

    Why should Rob delete this thread?

    The allegations made by the OP are very serious and they should be addressed.

    This charge may or may not be true but once made should face serious scrutiny.

    That's what happens on Ferrari Chat.

    That thread is correct in that the car offered was the same referenced in the OP's post.

    Also note Ed's post re: Barchetta's webpage being wrong about him owing it at one time.
