Good question. When I bought this CS I had anything, small and large, refurbished to factory spec @ Ferrari dealer.

im all for blowing money on cars but having to restore and reassemble a well cared for low mile car from 2004/2005 doesnt make much sense to me...unless u buy a very high mile car at nice discount

Am I crazy to be thinking of adding another CS? There was an Fchatter here in the last 12mo with the Adam Corolla CS, with lots of exhaust upgrades, from WA state. That would be a super fun driver.

Just FYI, but the middle finger is also allegedly an African peace sign. I haven't confirmed that, however.

To the average person, a Ferrari is a Ferrari is a Ferrari. There is no car brand on the face of the earth that even approaches it. About 10 years ago, I had my yellow 348ts in a local fundraiser car show, alongside some very late model super cars including a Bugatti, Ford GT, and some others. That Bugatti was worth probably 30 to 40 times what my 348 was worth. My 348 was plenty dated to me at the time, 22 years old. Well the mayor of our city came to pick the best of show, and she picked...you guessed it, the Ferrari. At the microphone, she said something like "there's a lot of beautiful cars here, but I have to go with the Ferrari."

Mine has a Tubi exhaust, it sounds unreal going slow or fast - so I highly recommend it. Yes the CS is just an unbelievable package once you know how to drive it she will reward you. The seats and interior are killer to me.. I love the spartan stuff! I owe a huge thank you to @ttforcefed he really got me to start thinking about the CS the right one came and I grabbed it.

Does the stock CS have valves that I need a controller for like the 458?

Yes the stock CS exhaust has valves… I don’t understand the capristo controller thing, I just fix a button on the left-hand side that can open and close the valve, much better in my opinion

My guy does a wired switch as well. I’ll have to ask about adding to the CS. Didn’t occur to me.

You aren’t crazy- there are 2 of us. I would need to give up my 575 To pull the trigger and I just can’t bring myself to do it. I like having the two different types of cars

I understood that if you left the car in race mode-that the valves were open all the time. Can anyone confirm that?

i know this doesnt make any sense but in my 430 spider i sweat adding the valve switch impacted the overall sound of the car. ive disconnected it since then and i have reconnected the valves on my 612 oto and the CS. im getting old

If they are disconnected it’s news to me. I’ve owned it for 10 years and it’s bone stock

Go take a look. The valves are round spheres with rubber lines going to them

I am going to get a valve switch in the next 2 days. My CS starts loud, then drops down of course. I want the valves open on command, esp when I am out driving hard I dont want to fiddle with the throttle and gears. I want it open. It’s a slower and more “dangerous” car...so I like the look and i want it loud to compensate for my lack of all out driver skills.
Easier to modulate on the 458 for sure.

I have the Capristo controller on my 430 spider. I just set it to valves open, and leave it that way all the time. I put the controller in the glove box and forget about it!
