So I decided to carbon fibre up my interior. I’m not a CF fanboy, but I think it would update the look of my interior which the previous owner had painted gloss black.
I thought I’d try a vinyl wrap first as it was easily the cheapest option. I discovered I didn’t have the skills to do it. Esp wrapping around corners and odd shapes. After a failed attempt I pulled it off , but I could tell that I liked the way it looked so made up my mind to get the parts hydro dipped.
But I thought I’d show what the difference looks like between the 2 for others
IMO the vinyl has a more reflective quality which adds to the realism, but lacks the depth of the clear coat of the hydro part.
    You decide for yourself.

There is a company that makes a 3D wrap that can't be distinguished from real carbon fiber. I got a quote during a local auto show back in February if anybody would like to know the brand (I'll look it up).

I find even though I put real CF on my car people always think it is a wrap. The hydro dip looks really good, I have seen some people do some neat things with hydro dip. Personally I like CF the best but it does cost more to do. If people would just look closer at my air intake scoops they would know it's CF. You couldn't get away with wrap there and it not be known.
