The felt lined key pocket on my Portofino has come loose. Can it be accessed by prying up the front cover or would it need more disassembly?

I did the job on my Portofino last Tuesday and didn't pay any attention to the pocket. Sorry,I can't help. Once those 10 bolts are removed, you lift up the whole console assembly enough to unsnap all the wiring connectors and then the whole assembly should come out of the car easily. I didn't have to go that far,but I wouldn't hesitate to try it. The pocket may be replaceable,or you may have to use something like Shoe Goo to repair it.

By the way,Raghu, isn't that covered by your warranty? I keep the fob in my trouser pocket, but I notice that car's fob pocket is partially loose.

By moving the pocket around I can see a broken plastic post to the inside that attaches the pocket. It should be fixable or replaceable.

I'm from Russia, sorry for my bad English.))) I want to tell you how I made my button) dug out the entire button with my fingernail to a transparent plastic) printed a logo on self-adhesive white paper. Pasted TWO layers, strictly falling R on R, so that the black background not let in light. On top of it, I pasted a transparent matte vinyl. The new button from the store will quickly go bad! Transparent matte vinyl is very reliable! Use)

The pocket is held in place by a metal bracket. The front of the bracket hooks under a lip,and the rear is attached by tiny screws to three flimsy plastic posts. These posts are part of the main console structure. The whole structure must be replaced, and it will just break again unless redesigned. All three posts were broken on my car.

I made a bracket that attaches to two nearby screws and bolted the rear of the factory bracket to it. Unbreakable.

The hardest part of the job is figuring out how to separate the various wiring harness connectors. One connector on the passenger side is wrapped in some gooey material and pinned down with a wire tie. I hope that the flimsy components on this car are limited to items that don't matter if they break.

I thought if it was simple I would try myself as my dealer is 3 hours away, but will wait and get it done when it goes in for it’s one year service. Thanks for your help.
