That is hysterical!

 

About a year ago, Donatella Versace walked into the store that I work in.
As she approached me, I greeted her in Italian. She smiled when she noticed that I was wearing a Versace Tie, she flicked it with her finger and said, "Ahh", but continued walking...never breaking her stride

I think if she stopped to talk to me it would have ruined her mystique

She was extremely polite to everyone in the store as well.

reminds of a story somebody told me about their mother meeting robert redford on a street corner in nyc.
she said: "are you Robert Redford !"
he said: 'only when i want to be."
and walked across the street.

 

i've met a lot of famous people, and they almost universally end up being shorter in person than they look on screen.
the notable exceptions to that so far have been jeremy irons - very tall gangly guy; paul volker - ****ing giant; hulk hogan - his name suits him.
