    Hi Guys,

    Can anyone suggest if below message is something i should be worried about.

    (catalysts temp sensor fault)

    someone told me it could be cause of carbon emission and needs cleaning.


    please suggest.

    Get it checked out.

    Normally a cleaning of the sensors would do the trick but if they are a bit worn out they may need replacing which can be a bit costly. Not checking them out might cause the car to get wrong temperature readings and assume that the catalytic converters are overheating. The ECU will then cut power to the engine and ask you to pull the car over which is a major inconvenience.

    Yup, that will compromise operation. Nice to find a simple fix, though. At worst, replace the sensor.

    Yeah I was pretty happy it was something "easy".. I've contacted the dealer and let them know i may need a new sensor or two - in case it doesn't work after being dragged along the gorund!
