I agree, and with my best Posh accent from the parisian suburbs, I say "Chosing an existing color... So fuddy-duddy !!!" Grigio C. before my death. I swear.
Reading this for me is the pinnacle of Ferrari passion and i have to beware of to making this an aim because it is way to far away and at least, my modest opinion, there will never be a front V12 GT that will based on timeless GT lines like the Berlinetta which will transfrom to a Super Berlinetta with retro elements combinated with sharp angry elements which end up in a wohle design which is nothing than spot on! I love this car, i love Tims story and i'm happy for him and to celebrate the revelation of colour sticker and spec plate, the final of this great story, the Mini stay on the yard, i take Signorra Berlinetta for fetching some fresh rolls! Forza Ferrari, Forza Tim! Great to have guys like you around here, which makes this forum even greater by sharing the passion! Tanti saluti Christian
Tim your post says it all with great sensitivity. Ferraris are for some of us the child dream that often is only made true when we are men and, “sadly”, not "young" anymore. However all these cars with the Ferrari iconic symbol have that enormous power of maintaining well alive the child we all have in us and, that way, we can't stop dreaming. That’s something wonderful, kind of makes us feel younger and like Jim Henson said “The most sophisticated people I know - inside they are all children”.
Well, you're damn right there, but there's definitely something better than creating your own Ferrari colour... easy... creating your second Ferrari colour! Coburn knows that!
Tim, out of curiosity (be honest) ... are you okay with someone else speccing “your” color? Part of me would feel honored, but ... I’d feel like I’d want it to be exclusively my own. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Frankly I would take it as a compliment. I accept I would not have wanted anyone to have a tdf in BS as my aim was always a 1/1, but assuming I have my SF in it, I would be delighted to see another similarly specced and it will look dynamite with a BT or Cuoio interior. Imitation is, after all, the sincerest form of flattery.
Well done Traveller. I love your passion and willingness to share your experience in an honest and sincere manner. No bragging or boasting. Just an honest desire to let the 99.9999 percent of people that could never experience a little of the feeling of a factory delivery. Well done sir! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Image Unavailable, Please Login The final chapter in this long standing saga, the ridiculously priced titanium fuel filler cap, but a thing of beauty, removing that harsh contrast of the aluminium one and nicely toned with the rims. I will try and do better than an iPhone shot at some stage.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Thought reposting this might help show the difference for any other lucky tdf owners who feel the need to just tweak their cars that little bit more. It's a subtle difference but still quite noticeable.
Tim is amazing how a tiny Cavallino can make such a big difference to a fuel filler cap visual and to me is like a woman with a discrete rímel around her eyes that we can't stop looking at.
I have to say Mario I was doubtful about the Cavallino as I normally like a more discreet look, I'm not into over liberal use of Cavallinos everywhere. However, coupled with the darker, duller titanium finish and my clean non stripe design, I now really like it and think you are spot on with your analogy!
Tim..I think you and Ian Coburn have the most beautiful cars in the World. When I spec my next Ferrari I will request one of these colors. Wow...you guys have class! Pure class.
You are very kind. It so happens that Ian's tdf is also my other favourite, indeed I nearly asked for a triple grey at TM but having had a lot of grey cars, as literally 7 out of every 10 cars in the UK are some shade of silver, grey or black, I was determined to make a change and add a bit of colour, albeit still holding on to that hint of grey for security.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Tim (Traveller) a few ago for the Podcast. www.ferrarihub.com/ep8 or www.ferrarihub.com/itunes All I can say it was an absolute pleasure to discuss the journey that resulted in this F12 TDF! Next week's episode will be to discuss the collection of the car and the night in Casa Ferrari. Tim, it was great chatting and thanks so much for taking the time out. Really appreciate it. Andy. I have to say I really enjoyed interviewing Tim. It was my first owner focused episode and it was really enjoyable for me too. Part two comes out later today. I’ll let you all know when it’s released.

I was as Casa Ferrari and Fiorano in July after my 812 TM session. It was truly special just to be in Enzo’s house. I too plan to take ceremonial delivery of my car there. Can’t wait!!!
