Looks like a smooth water boat to me. The nose bow steering down sea could be pretty exciting. Really nice amenities.

That's what I thought at first, smooth water boat, but maybe not.

They were joking around. Those were 2' waves. A "bow stuff" is when you put the nose into the green part of the wave. Not a happy day on any boat. I've been in waves on a 39' that when you were on the bottom of the wave it was nothing but green water all around you.

So many of the new style boats like the Carvers and Sea Rays are fantastic because they have great amenities and they have controls that make them easy to operate. Most of the "traditionalists" look down on that stuff but I don't. It brings so many more people into boating. Still, you always have to know what you can do and what the boat can do.

Good points. They're like RVs for the water. However the SUV is to minivan like a "cabin cruiser" is to houseboat. ;)

Smart too because the Boomers are buying but the roads are too crowded. Comfort, not chaos (includes wave troughs too).

I agree. And, women are probably the main influence on what boat is bought. The new stuff really appeals to them. You can dock for dinner, go for booze cruises and drop an anchor for a swim.

On the other hand, my wife has been stuck in some rough water for extended periods. She's has a bias of heavy duty, lots of refrigeration and a water maker that works.

So true about the Lady's choice, my little hot rod Donzi was only mildly appealing to them - no bimini and no potty.

Nowadays, A/C is just as important and I'd never buy a cruiser without it.
