I was talking to someone with weak arms *runs* who said he finds the steering in his 348 too heavy and too slow. This perplexed me a bit, as, according to carl who's driven all of them, it's much the same as a 308/328, neither of which I have any problems with.

Anyway....today I drove the 328 for the first time in a while...after driving only the 355 lately, which has VERY light (can i say over assisted) steering....and I have to say I thought it was very light indeed....beautiful, in fact.

Anyone else, apart from Carl, driven all these cars and be able to comment? I'm just wondering if Carl and I are super strong, or could there be something wrong with this person's 348?

Once you are doing more than 5kph, they're all fine. (my opinion, of course)

I'll "throw you the keys" to the Mondial once it's on the road so you can compare.

But have to do it in secret, don't want to be seen driving it!!!!

Oh, wait a moment - Buy your own!!!!! :D

Its not too bad. Once moving, like any car without p/steering they are easy to drive. :):)

The 348 is a little bit 'heavier' to steer when I compare it to JM's 308. It was a pleasure to drive his 308 btw. :):)

Perhaps the owner of that 348 needs to check his front tyre pressures? :D:D

Also, if he HAS different wheels on it and they are wider than the stock 348 wheels...........I wonder if that has something to do with the steering being heavy? ;);)

    Obligatory 348 pic. :eek::eek:

I was thinking more about this. It's not so much how heavy the steering is but how non responsive it is. When I come fast into a corner, I like to flick the car into it, and concentrate on driving rather than turning the wheel. In the 348, if I come quick into a corner, I have to use both arms and steer from the shoulder if I want any chance for the car to respond according to the speed I am driving. Maybe the steering is too low geared to be responsive to my liking.

I just thought some more. Maybe I demand too much out of my cars and the 348 is more of a HD car rather than a driver :D

Like Carl said, 348 wheels are 225 on the front, while the 360 wheels I have fitted are 215, so theoretically it should be even easier to steer.

The 348 actually has 215 tyres from factory also. :):)

Strange then mate. Same width tyres and I am assuming tyre pressures are spot on? :):)

I think you are just TOO demanding Andre! :p:p

Its a 348 after all and it commands your FULL respect going into fast corners. It has no time for lone-wolfs!:eek:

I found the 308 to be a little heavy at walking pace or stationary, but once moving it was fine (gees why am I talking in past tense).

I love it at driving speed. You get good feedback. Actually Carl set up all the suspension and toe-in/out etc for me. :D

    Did a great job.

My Gt4 is lovely to drive

the GTB (possibly best in Aust as per PP) is harder to steer then the GT4

The TR............even the terminator would trouble with it

    360CH................the best

    250 Urraco aka Gt4............even heavier

lusso.............forget it, a kenworth is easier

    daytona..............same as above

    C4....................in between lusso and daytona
