Thanks for asking. The weather was perfect and this was also my 2nd time around. Completed it in just over 4 hours. I figure I could hand with the Kenyans for about 10 seconds. :)

Awesome time!! I like the medal this year. Congrats on the accomplishment!!

I went for Chicago Style pizza the night after the race both years. Nothing better than eating a 3000 calorie pizza after burning off 3000 calories.

Thanks for the nice comments on the marathon. I went to the highly rated Exchequer Restaurant & Pub for my deep dish pizza, which was incredible.

Whilst having great health is one of the nice side benefits of running, my true reason for running is the same as my interest in Ferraris: To interact with truly passionate and exceptional individuals, such as yourselves.

I have been and remain a competitive cyclist...I ride...

Looks like the Charlotte Cars & Coffee postponed from last week to the same data as Lake Norman.

    Which one to go to?

So will we have a good turnout as the Charlotte C&C is the same day. I don't want to make the long trek if there is not a good showing.

I'll probably favor Charlotte C&C, for the shear volume of cars that attend that event.

well, that's too bad the rain date falls on the same day as our monthly get together. don't give up on us as we are trying hard to gain some traction. we have been making some progress each month.

well will look forward to seeing you next time?

Last time I attended Lake Norman, I was very impressed with the group in attendance. Everyone was friendly & receptive. So, I hope to be there again in the near term.

I think I'll make it this time -- too many rain outs for me to miss a nice sunny day. Charlotte is too far for me but Lake Norman is just far enough. I'll come down I40/I77 and go home on 801.

With no relevant traffic, both of these C&Cs are probably less than 15 mins from each other.

I will start with the Charlotte event and then if motivation strikes me, I will head up to Lake Norman.

I really enjoyed the event -- great bunch of friendly people. I took 801 home but missed a turn where 801 joins 70 for a mile and ended up in Salisbury but I did get to drive some nice country roads.
Will try to make it in December weather permitting.
    Great event.

One of these days I'm going to have to make it to this one! Looks like a small but good turnout.

That McLaren looks pretty slick. Is it a regular? I've only seen one in person and would like to see another one of these days. Do you know if it's the one from Ballantyne, or a different one?

There was a gray one at the Winston-Salem C&C about 5 months ago. It had dealer plates on.
