Violin Man and "Gabe" have sort of defined what C&C has become. It's too bad, its a victim of its own success. I'll still go on occasion, but I no longer look forward to it.

Gabe is actually a really nice guy and a great Ferrari enthusiast. You should meet and talk to him before espousing such snottiness.

Part of the allure of C&C for me is the drive over to Dallas from SW Fort Worth. Whatever car I bring gets a good workout with a 140 mile round trip, mostly on tollways. I'm unfortunately getting less motivated, as time goes on, to make the trek. Becoming too crowded and loud. As for certain "characters".... You can be a Ferrari (or any car make) enthusiast without imposing a racket on people around you. If you've gone to the Boardwalk Concorso the last couple of years and you'll know what I mean :)
FW C&C is growing and mild mannered, convenient.

I guess my snottiness was only espoused based on what I've witnessed.

Personally I'm done, but nobody will miss my 328. I'm taking a PINK! Nash Metropolitan to a local hot rod gathering that morning :)

Well if you are not revving for 30 min straight or blasting music from it then I don't think 90% of the people there would give your car a second look ;)

    Enjoy the other show!

    I might go to C&C

3 or 4 times a year is plenty for me. It's almost not worth trying to take the 328, I don't ever get there at 7am. I drive the daily most often and just go look at the cars. When I was there last another Ferrari owner mentioned that he won't even go look at the other cars any more, he's too worried about the safety of his car.

A friend wanted to go and check out the cars, so I'm not taking f430 this time around..
just curious if it was this weekend or not, thanks. But I agree, its getting over commercialized and I too worry about the f430 and leaving it alone if I want to go check things out.. I also usually only go in the fall and spring, getting a bit hot now-a-days.

Too far of a drive from west Fort Worth for the time I have get there in order to secure a spot. After someone used the 348TS quarter panel as a chair in order to send text two years ago, I've been pretty much done with this events & its drama.

I can't go until I replace my exhaust with something louder. I'd hate to lose the rev off competition.

My friend wants to take his '71 Challenger again, and he asked me to tag along. Looks like I'm going this weekend.

This might be the best time to go with a possible small crowd

Plano PD and the Gallardo owners were up to their usual things this morning. Also crowded as usual.

But, there were some great cars out there. I REALLY enjoyed the Volkswagen section, seeing all of those Buses was awesome (massive soft spot for those). There was an SRT Viper TA, another SRT Viper, a legit RHD Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV (not sold in the US), an R32 GT-R, and others.

As far as exotics...458 Speciale, 50th Anniversary Aventador, Super Trofeo Stradale, a red Boxer, Testarossa from California, McLaren 650S, and a new F-Type coupe.

My verdict? I enjoyed it. I liked the variety of cars present there, despite the crowds. The revving is something that needs to go away though.

I will be there this weekend. Going to bring the 308 down and get inspection taken care of. I'll probably roll out early, as some friends want to have breakfast (probably at Cafe Brazil) around 9am.

I may show up tomorrow if I feel like doing any more driving after today's 800 mile road trip. GPS says I'll get home at 8:26pm...

    I made it. :)

Gabe has a new 458 Speciale, and its the correct color for a Ferrari. ;) Its gorgeous. Chatted with Steve, Max, and Wilfredo. Weather was outstanding.
