I am curious to see how you will top last month's event. The LaFerrari made Cars and Coffee the craziest I have ever seen it. Unfortunately I will not be there so hopefully someone will post some pictures.
what would top it for me is if the crowd would thin out a bit. or Perhaps I should bring my land rover covered in dirt to show everyone. I'm sure it would be a hit.
Rumor has it that there will be only 100 spots. Classic BMW can't park all of its inventory on the muddy grass. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
Rumor has it that, it will only make sense if you are there!! I can honestly say that this car has NEVER been to a cars and coffee.
I cannot take credit for the above picture. However I was just informed that Formula One Management just fined Shawn and the DFW FCA for my releasing this pic before it was officially time to do so. Bernie's black helicopter is circling over head looking for other unauthorized photographers!
Oh No... i just recieved word from the scene that a group of angry Dodge Dart owners are throwing half empty beer cans at Shawn and Steve for taking up so much room at Cars and Coffee and crowding them out !! Oh, the humanity, Oh ladies and gentlemen...
I presume you are referring to that Dart //. A-body enthusiasts are far too classy to waste half a beer.
It wasn't a helo, it was a small drone! Yup, it was real. I assumed another show mule. Dopey me. It had an engine and everything!
Whoa. Shawn, you out did yourself! That's unbelievable. I can't imagine the size of the crowd that showed up to see that F1 car.
How was the overall turnout? Wish I could have made it but had a conflicting event this morning. Still went to see it at Boardwalk though. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
To be honest, I can't take any credit except for making the flyer. All the credit should go to Boardwalk and Steve Fordham. They are the ones that made it happen!!! Great job as always!!!
I would attach my pics but tapatalk won't let me update my account or create a new one. It's a terrible app. That being said, thanks to all for bringing this wonderful peice of history out. My favorite F1 car of all time.
It was a team effort! Starting with the client making the purchase! Then allowing Boardwalk Ferrari to have the car as a guest in our home. Again, for the owner allowing us to escort it to C&C. John Kobell allowing us the space. Shawn for promoting it. Gus P, Paul Frey and Stuart Singer for showing up with me so so early to load and unload at the event before the mass arrived. There are several others that helped facilitate this happening! Yet another example of what great things can happen when the club, the forum, and the Dealership all work together! Thank you to all the members and clients who help things like this happen. S
Jokes aside, was there really a drone flying overhead? I'm a fan of the technology and awesome video and puctures those quadcopters produce, but flying it overhead of a bunch of car enthusiasts' cars? Sounds risky. If I were Cars and Coffee I'd probably have tules against it. The operators may be competent and knowledgeable about their hobby but flying in the "cars and coffee airspace" seems like a bad idea unless they register with organizers in advance. Just my .02, i couldnt tell from Jim's post if there actualy were quadcopterd there, and maybe they did have permission and were never over the parking lot... Most of the tracks and sanctioning bodies have strict rules about them.
Yes it is the same car, here's some photos of it at FCA national meet in Cresson, TX back in 2001 minus the Marlboro livery. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Um, not so fast... what 's the chassis number on the one from Houston? Same vinage maybe? I'm betting it's different as this one came from a West coast collection. S
