My 296 did not have carbon fiber side skirts. Not sure of the reason but it was ordered with carbon front spoiler and carbon rear diffuser and it looked a little off without the carbon side skirts. Sforza just completed their first set and I ordered them. They look great from the photos they sent and will update everyone on the fit and quality when they arrive So far I have been very impressed with the company!!!! Here’s what they sent and a before picture. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I have a dumb question. Is it less expensive to order and install carbon fiber parts from Sforza than ordering them from Ferrari as part of the initial spec? Or are people just regretting not ordering from Ferrari and then adding them aftermarket? If Sforza is indeed less expensive, how much are the savings? 50%? 25% Thanks for bearing with me on such a fundamental question.

If you order them during the initial spec it is $8606. To order OEM after the fact they are $15,110. These are $2390. Most carbon parts are significantly less expensive after market.

That’s a great deal! If they make the front splitter eventually (I’m sure they will) I’d order the set.

The only downside is it’s not in your list of itemized options on the plaque

After folks post installed pics and feedback I am ordering the skirts and his SF front spoiler. I am sure he will sell droves of these parts given the OEM $$ prices.....and the ease in install.

you do save money but hard to believe it'll cost probably nearly as much to install given the Ferrari tax wherever you go. I'd venture at least 2k to install. still 50% less than stock but got to make sure fitment and install are exactly right so no problems later.

For the side skirts it’s a self install. If you look under the car you can see the 3-4 bolts and there is one in each wheel well. As for the front spoiler or rear diffuser I would not even attempt that. lol.

One half of the car is done. The fit and quality so far were perfect. I am able to install without removing the wheels or wheel liners. Had a little difficulty figured out how to remove the top part but thank you to SJU for the help.

If you truly drive the car, you will be thankful you don't have the rear diffuser in carbon. It doesn't take much to scrape/damage the fins on most models, and carbon fiber is obviously much more difficult to repair than fiberglass.

    The side skirts look great.

I think I’ve scraped every rear diffuser on each Ferrari I’ve owned. Forgot which one, but I did it once on delivery day pulling it in to the driveway when I forgot to go at an angle. :D:(

yup, I have been told the F8 is the "lowest" diffuser they have ever put on a street car. I've fixed mine twice, and not even going to bother again for a while. I love the look of the carbon ones but won't go through that nightmare, as I actually drive my cars. At least fiberglass is cheap to repair.

It was a little confusing/tricky at first but pretty simple. The top of the OEM skirt is held in by clips. The clips are mounted to the car and they are inside the skirt. there are 3 bolts holding on each clip/mount. Once you remove all of the bolts from under the car and wheel well you will be able to pull the OEM skirt out. (If your car is on a lift the access is very easy, otherwise you need a mirror and light to see inside the skirt). You undo the 3 bolts per mount and the skirt will come right off. To install the new carbon skirt you mount the clip/mount back to the car and you snap the top of the carbon skirt into the clips.

If anyone is installing them and runs into an issue I would be happy to help them thru it. The first side took me about 3 hours (and a lot of cursing) and the other side took about 30 minutes.

This is very accurate from you and you perfectly got the point.
Last week we have tested fitment again of our cf skirts through a Ferrari service & body shop and both sides fitted smooth without any issue.
We have shoot some pictures and video of the install process that i have put together in a clip:

They didn't undo the top mounts bolts to the bitter end at first to take off the skirt, but then agreed that removal of the mounts with the skirt as you suggest would be easier and the correct procedure, otherwise you would risk to damage the mounts tabs that are made of plastic when you snap the skirt off.
It's the first time that Ferrari adopts this fixing method on side skirts with upper mounts, unlike the other models with rocker panels.
So overall, install is easy, but tricky with the top mounts.
They have used all the OEM existent hardwares : bolts, washers etc. without changing anything.
