    I have been considering adding shields to my Canna Di Fucile (CDF) FF. The original car did not have shields (which I liked) but a little birdie (my friend & neighbor who modifies every thing!) though the Carbon Fiber (CF) shields might look nice on this spec car. Well the shields finally arrived, after a few adjustments from the seller and I was able to do a temporary install and snap a few photo’s:

    It's such a beautiful car, but I think the shields clutter the flow of the body line where they are.

    Thanks for sharing your impressions my “PA Ferrari Brethren”. That is exactly what I am struggling with. They cosmetically fit to the car, however they slightly disrupt the Pininfarina lines.

    I assume the first photo is of the shield on a door panel. Correct?

    It looks OK from a color and geometry perspective, but have no clue from a scale perspective versus the whole door. As for the exterior, they certainly do not seem to hurt the car.

    i don't know when shields began. Or why, other than demand of course.
    Other than contributing incrementally to F1 efforts for the option cost, our cars scream Ferrari.
    Isn't it overload?
    Yes, my black 360 is adorned with shields.

    I must admit in pictures I do not like the shields as much, but when I see them on this car in person I like them. The FF is a big car and I think the shields look good on it, but I do modify everything (except my dogs Jeep, well I guess I did modify it for them).

    The ff is the f car that I want, I really like the look of yours & think the shields look good too. As they’re an aftermarket addition I can understand why you’re questioning them but if they fit the bodywork perfectly then if it was my car then I’d keep them.

    Does anyone know if the CF shield were an option on a FF? I have yet to see a FF with CF shields. Keep you impressions, opinions, and insights coming...

    Factory will not do carbon fiber shields. Dealers can do it.

    Yes I think you’re right, I’m meeting a different Ferrari dealer this Tuesday after discovering for myself that the dealer that I’d planned to buy from probably deserve their bad reputation.

    I have also been considering painting the grills black. Has anyone personally done this and was it a simple DIY?

    Sonicsound....I would like my grills painted black too.....I have the equipment and ability, just don't know how hard it would be to access for the removal of grills..
