Cappy's auto transport, brothers John and Cappy Acampora, great with cars, good friends of mine, car guys all the way. They handle multimillion dollar f-cars at events year round, so cal to nor cal is their 'run'.

I know it's not my car but if it was, I would drive it.
Can you imagine the fun of that?

    I've had Cappy's and Towco bring & pick up 7 & 8 figure vehicles to/from my shop
Both small, independent, very professional outfits & on each occasion, chosen by highly experienced clients.
If need arose, I wouldn't hesitate use either.

Was thinking about driving it but dont think I would much enjoy driving in a straight line on I5 for 5 hours without cruise control at 5k rpm so if transport isnt too expensive I might do that...

I've driven SF to LA once (in a Mercedes), and it was a pretty boring drive...I think you can take the 1 but doesnt that add significantly to the travel time?

    Thanks for all the tips!

Hwy 101 is much more scenic with many great places to stop along the way and IMO, definitely worth extra 1+ hour it might take. Type of route Ferrari and other leisure vehicles are better suited for.
I-5 was designed for commerce, not leisure.

Drive 101 with a stint on Hwy 1. Lots to see and pretty enjoyable. Stop in SB wine country or Paso on the way down. Take 1 from Monterey down to SLO. Do it in an overnight trip for the experience. There's a great spa we went to with the club in Avila.

Just did this in June for the third time in our 360.Trip down the Pacific Coast Highway is great. Much better than the northerly direction. Don't know how much time you have, but some great places to stop along the way, e.g. Rocky Point Restaurant, about ten miles south of Carmel, San Simeon/Moro Bay, Santa Barbara, Moon Shadows restaurant, Malibu and lots more.

    natman316,

Intercity Lines will be glad to give you an FChat rate of $745 for your F430 from SF to LA. We only offer fully enclosed, insured, lift-gate loading and door to door service (providing we can get the transporter into both neighborhoods). If we can help you with your move please let us know.
