A bent rim for quarter million views in one day (and climbing) and half the car world talking about it?

Bet they'd throw in a whole set of rims for that exposure.

 

well he is an auto journalist, don't think that he is a casual driver.

 

I think I'm going to get a few HD video units and become an auto journalist. Seriously, how hard can it be?

 

Most automotive journalists have an exaggerated opinion of their driving skills. Results in many bent and mechanically damaged cars.

Jethro is actually a pretty talented driver, this is just one of those things that can happen to all of us. Though it would be a great gig huh...

 

In Sweden we have a TV show called GRANTURISMO. They have a "tame test driver" who has a very high opinion of HIS skills. He managed to side swipe a car with an SLS. On an airfield landing strip....

I had the same response damaging the front end on a 430 on a dip in the road. He should keep both hands on the wheel and keep his eyes on the road it could have saved him some cash.

 

Well... wide car, small road, eyes not 100% on the road, talking to a camera, curb... just bent wheels was lucky!!! Jethro might be a handy driver, but doing so many things at once on unfamiliar car can easily lead to this.
