Which UK insurance company is good for insuring young (under 21) drivers on exotic italian cars?

Moneysupermarket is ridiculous... quoting me a price 3 times the cost of the car!!

    Thanks, Felix

Mate i think you will find it extremely hard to insure an under 21 in an exotic, is the under 21 male or female? and what is the car to be insured?

I should imagine a specialist broker is what you require.
As cool as he is, I can't imagine Alexander being that much help.
Adrian Flux, Michael Ward etc would be a good place to start...

The 18 year olds that do drive Exotics will be in unique enough positions to not have to worry about the difficulty of insurance.
I don't just mean financially; the people that fall in this bracket will be from wealthy families, professional sportsmen or entrepreneurs.
As such, they may be insured contractually (ie sports clubs or through businesses) or existing relationships through specialist brokers. They wont be going on moneysupermarket.
I am 19, a friend of a friend (i don't claim to know him well, but i do have him on facebook) is the same age as me and drives a brand new 911 Turbo (all legit and insured). He is from a Dubai based family.

First insured on the ferrari 2 years ago at age 23 at a cost of £800 with elephant.co.uk
Two years later (age 25) I can now get a quote on the supermarket sites but will be returning back to specialists brokers in April (renewal time) Some still refuse to insure, also be aware that insurance premiums have gone up, renewed Jaguar insurance in January and renewal came in £300 more than I paid last year, shop about and dont be afraid of asking the call centre people for better prices, you will amazed at the sicount you can get.

2 years ago the jag insirance went from £700 to £1300 on renewal with norwich union, shopped about and swift cover came in at £540. Rang Norwich Union gave them the details and they did the same policy as I had before as a renewal for £515 including break down.

Every business is there to make money - obvoiusly any convictions etc will bear upon the price, Shop about

I've found it very hard to get a good quote from the specialist brokers this week. I'm 25 and trying to insure a 355.

Admiral are the best so far, using their multicar policy.
