I'm thinking of buying a set to make it easier to position my car correctly when using my 2 post lift. Plus, it safely provides additional ground clearance for the swing arms on my lift.

Does anyone use these and would recommend what they have? Seems like most will handle the weight but the casters are kind of crappy.

    i don't know why you'd need that for a 2 post lift.

if you drive your car through the lift and keep it straight and even on both sides, the 2 arms on each post are adjustable for angle and length so I don't know why you'd need dollies to fine tune the position.

if you need extra height, buy some wood pieces and drive over them.

Go Jacks have great reviews. Honestly, I've been considering this also. I have a 2 post and like to get the car dead center. These would make it easy

I have seen the Go Jacks. They are Bendpak brand. Not sure if they are made by Bendpak. The casters look pretty heavy. Using these dollies allow you to position the car very accurately. Inevitably, I'm off to one side or the other by an inch or so, or too far forward or aft. I'm an engineer so I'm a bit anal about positioning the car to get the C.G. centered. And the extra ground clearance is gravy. That way I can use 4 hockey pucks on top of my lift pads. Slightly smaller footprint is beneficial at the front jacking points on the F430.

I am looking for something like this as well. But I have been told that these products generally are useful on concrete floors, but on asphalt, it takes 3 people to move a car around.

I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has actually used them.

    thanks,

I have a set of the hydraulic car movers similar to the ones in post seven. Mine are OTC brand which USED to be an American manufacturer
but are definitely made in China now. They work sort of all right on my 328's, barely work on my Testarossa's and DON'T work at all on my 458.
Really poor quality, unfortunately, jack bleeds down, lowering car without the safety pin installed. On the 458 not enough width to open to get around the wheel
plus too tall to fit under the frame of the car with the nuts on the top of the wheels. I think the simpler NON-hydraulic car movers may be the better option. Of course these require a jack to raise the car, but I think a jack and the simpler movers are better than the hydraulic models. If I had life to live over, I would NOT buy them.
They do NOT roll all that easy with a car on them. The wheels ARE too small. I can move a fifty thousand pound machine using my machinery skates, easier than I can push a car around that weighs 3500 pounds using the OTC car movers. Poorly designed and built. My skates are VERY similar to the bend pak models. Maybe the same manufacturer??

The GoJacks move vehicles easily on concrete with just one person, on asphalt it would be advisable to have two due to the rough nature of asphalt. The wheels are very heavy duty, roll easily and are non marring, and raise and lower smoothly. Do get the rack to store your GoJacks if you go this route, well worth the extra cost.

I have the harbor freight but they are of limited use. Worked on my 328, on my 355 they barely fit on the front and dont on the rear. They dont fit at all on my 612.

Make sure you confirm what wheel sizes they go up to before purchase.
