mine comes in October
Congrats Carlo - 280 is not bad for that car .... the 360 new in 1999 was 208 base ... so 280 isnt that far off 11 yrs later.
wow...lol I could NOT image paying 208K for a 360... And we will be saying the same about the 458 in 10 years...crazyness
The CAD $288K I quoted includes our enviro levy and dealer prep. If Carlo's $280K MSRP includes that, it then becomes a $18K gouge instead of $26K....... Any idea yet Carlo, or do they like to surprise you when it's time to write the cheque ?
My brother wants to buy a 458 but does not want to wait a year to get one. Are there any available in Canada right now?
he wont have to wait a year - go to the dealer -- i can assure you , he will get a call in one week saying : "We have one car that a special client backed out of and went into a 599 (BS) and you can spec it out now and get it in 6 weeks" If he is serious, and talks the talk, this is what will happen.
Rick, you are 100% right!!go there with and check and ask for Remo Ferri,Ferrari Of Ontario, here's the number if you need it 416-749-5325 lol
+100 and LOL Very true....all these dealer guys are full of **** up to their eyeballs these days. They are going to make 10,000 458's a year, and by the looks of the Euro economy, they will be lucky to sell a few hundred there. Lots of iventory floating around. Don't be fooled by the hype....like Red says, $$$$ is King The rest will come to US, China, etc...and Canada. Wait until all the 'good' customers get their 458's first in line, then the excess runoff 458's will be sitting on lots. Its always tight in the 1st and 2nd year of launch. Remember when the Scud came out 2 years ago? My Neighbuor had to wait 1 year to get his, meanwhile there were a dozen US Scuds on Ebay for 1/2 the price! ...Baaah !! Why would anyone want a 1st year 458 anyways? The first roll-out are junk...give them 2 years to fix all the CPU, gearbox and electrical problems then buy one
The white one I saw was $30X,000 with more options so I don't think there are too many 458s under $270K. Mine doesn't even have the NAV option and it's still $272,452!
Wait a year and there will be loads of cars on ebay. Canadian real estate is already in early phases of massive decline and US economy is rapidly slowing down. Canadian's get gouged on everything, really makes you wonder how people afford anything here. Then when you look at the stats and see 160% debt to income ratio's you aren't surprised.
Go check E-bay....there is a nice Rosso Corsa Scuderia starting bid at $199,000. Many others are in the $200-$250k range. Considering a new CDN Scuderia was $300,000 + Taxes, Delivery + options.
