Not an Eberhard. Replica. Not really worth anything, unless you really want to give the guy $100.

I can't find them on ebay. I see the replica's but they have date split apart on the top. I'm not saying it's real. I have no idea. How do you know it's fake? I'm just curious not accusing.

In what way do they work? Do they just move like a stopwatch or do they keep track as a calendar?

The Eberhard 4-register watch is a chronograph (stopwatch). This has chrono pushers with calendar registers. Two of the 4 registers on this watch are month and day-of-week, the other two count up to 12 and 24, this set of registers makes sense for an annual calendar watch, kind of. Yet, you've got chrono pushers on the case. A calendar watch still needs to be set, so you do need an external control or two, but not so prominent as those or you'll risk throwing the calendar off with an accidental touch, so they're usually recessed.

This inattention to correct function screams fake.

Very good. Also no markings in the internal movement is a sign. Even the oldest Eberhard has their mark inside.

Awesome. Thanks. That's interesting. I have been thinking of getting into collecting watches. This kind of stuff is fun to me. Thanks for the input.

Other telltale signs I noticed are the Ferrari shields on the front and back.

The shield engraved on the back has an "I" and a "7" where the "S" and "F" belong.

When looking at the shield on the front, the Cavallino horse is too small. Too much yellow around it. That's harder to notice.

Yep, replica. Movement is the Asian 21J. It's a $120 watch NEW. For $50 it would be worth it and toss the strap and buy a black one off Amazon for under $20. I have 20 reps and 4 gens from years ago, watches are addicting....
