This book is coming out in May from Schiffer. I think that Bob will be interested in this one: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was there that day in Feb. but I was on top of the Paine Field hanger when it took off. Great shot!
Yes, I will be interested. If I had the time and energy I could write my own book about that airplane. It was a monstrous and well run program that was facing huge challenges as it was in progress. I didn't work on the odd numbered programs before it but the 747 extracted the very best from the very best or it wouldn't have succeeded. The 777 was the crowning achievement of all because of the culmination of the best and most experienced engineers, computer technologoly and the people who ran it, and the best leadership ever put together.
Surprised (not really) you didn't work this unique Boeing design into any of your paintings Mr. Parks....... Image Unavailable, Please Login https://theoldmotor.com/?p=182446
More proof that you should not permit aero people to design cars . William Stout tried it and it was uglier than the Boeing example.

Looks like I will be able to do it and I certainly will do so. All of the engineering staff and flight test people that I knew are no longer with us. I wonder who will be featured. Fifty years has taken its toll, including that magnificent airplane.
