So.... who's got this game? 5 million preorders, $300 million first day revenue. 9.5 IGN rating (incredible).
Tried it. It's an adrenalin rush like no other! I have to wait till december, when I have loads of time to kill. Pretty sure someone on here have bought one PS: I'm a sucker for game hypes.
Loved Modern Warfare. Not going to buy MW2. I hate their decision to stick to P2P for the online matchplaying. I have DSL, of the 3mbps variety, but it isn't going to be fast enough to play MW2 online. If they would have decided to use the dedicated servers like they should have, my DSL probably would have been OK, and I would have considered buying it.
I'm halfway through the campaign but dinner was a-callin'. I won't spoil anything but it is epic beyond belief. Looks, plays, and sounds amazing. Can't wait to try it on Xbox Live later tonight. Should be game of the year for sure.
Bought it yesterday. I'm up to Act 3 of the storyline. Will get into the online play once I finish the story. The "no russian" mission is pretty intense. It gives you the option to skip it. You can mo down civilians that's why the skip option is available. Some really awesome levels. The problem of unlimited enemies if you don't move forward has been fixed from the last game. Playing on 360. Should have a crack at multiplayer tonight EnzymaticRacer: While I'm playing this on 360 it doesn't affect me, but I agree with you, dedicated servers for PC is what makes PC online games special. A bad move on the developers side.
Is there any co-op campaign play? I really like how Halo 3 ODST has 4-player co-op. And I don't really enjoy playing online too much anymore unless it's with friends. I got sick of online play after doing it for years on Counterstrike. Now the question is do I buy COD4 MW2 for my Xbox or PC?
The productivity of many of my employees went to crap overnight, and I suspect will suck for the next few weeks. It's more important to stay up all night playing MW2 than to get some sleep before coming to work. I'll never understand it...
Yeah it is. Think of it this way: It's more important to stay up all night driving your Ferrari than get some sleep before going to work. It's hype, one of the biggest game sales in a while, and is being told to be closest to military action or something of that sort, so your workers are being trained, so make sure you tell them to enlist.
Storyline finished Crazy ending Now I need to re-do the game on Veteran mode! There is no co-op for the campaign unfortunately but there is a "Special Ops" game mode that is co-op.
Ohh they have included a new feature, if the host of the game decides to exit, the game pauses and a new host is found then the game continues If you get 25 kill streak you can order a nuke in. Yet to see that happen but it would be funny I'm sure
There are videos on YouTube, and at the end of one when the player nukes them, everyone was like WTF? What just happened
I beat the story in 5-6 hours, yesterday and today... wow It's way to short. Honestly it should be 20x longer.
Yeah about the same. All COD games have been short for the storyline. COD4 was under 10hrs as well. Most scripted games are short. It's the sandbox games that let you go anywhere that usually give us lots of gaming hrs. The main selling point of the game is multi-player, well for consoles the PC version is getting hammered by negative reviews because of no dedicated server support.
Playing some Ground War tonight and one of the players on my team launched the nuke We all died. End of Game
I "accidentally" pulled a couple all-nighters the last couple days to play through this and the Spec Ops missions. Incredible graphics and atmosphere.
If anyone on Xbox 360 wants to do some spec ops on 360 my GT is Ginger Stompist. Should be getting the game soon...
Just beat campaign... AND...to top it off... I played 3 rounds online, and played a good 30 minutes of forza in the middle of act II.
In Team Deathmatch they have a slow-mo replay of the last kill that won/lost the game. Some funny deaths to be had. You also get some interesting/funny titles. I was a drifter then Joint Ops now I'm 2 Fast
