Caliper refinishing with proper period correct “Ferrari” font screenprinted

Thanks for showing us this, Ken. I thought it was important enough in 2007 when I bought my 550 to decline Classic Coach, at the time a Factory-authorized coachwork repair facility, offering to refinish my left front caliper.

A few years prior to my buying the car, the previous owner had an off-track excursion on the bus stop at Watkins Glen resulting in scuffing of the caliper...

The driver's side of the car was stone-blasted and repaired. The caliper is a battle scar and a reminder of what this car experienced in its life. I consider it "patina."

By the way, we're still finding some of the Watkins Glen stones in nooks and crannies in the chassis 20 years later when my car gets serviced.

 

There's nothing like the original Ferrari screen-printing.
