    Hi all,
Have moved to an appartment with underground parking, it only has charger points for electric cars and not one regular power plug point. As I'm not able to put the car on trickle charger and would it be better to disconnect the power from the battery or install an isolator switch?
I'm assuming it t won't do any damage to the car to electronics to turn and off when I want to use it?

You would be better off using an AntiGravity battery with a re-start feature.

If the car should sit long enough for the battery to drain, then the battery shuts down. Then when you need to start the car, you hit the small fob the battery comes with, or the button on the battery itself.

The problem with disconnecting the car every time, is the weather stripping. It is fine if you do it a few times a year, for instance when the car is in winter storage etc. But doing it on a weekly basis will damage the seals.

How often are you going to be driving the car?

I live in the same circumstances with underground parking and no access to a power point for a trickle charger. I've been disconnecting my Cali 30 batteries since new and typically they last as long if not longer than leaving it connected, certainly in my part of the world. There is a quick release on the battery terminal that makes it a quick, easy and clean activity. Just need to remember to leave the driver door open so the window has indented before you disconnect and strictly follow the reconnection sequence as advised in the manufacturers manual and kindly posted earlier by an owner. I'm on my third battery after nearly 9 years of ownership and so am averaging in excess of 3 years a battery, which in the oppressive heat of the Middle East is a long time. My tip is make sure it is fully charged before disconnecting.
