Wow, another successful event is now in the books! Thanks to all
of you, we had our best Ferraris at Morrison event to date on
Saturday! 31 cars in the show field spanning 40 years plus three on display from FCI.

Year in and year out, Morrison has been a fantastic host venue as they really get behind this event.

Also, great appreciation goes out to Automotive International for all they do behind the scenes as well

as hosting the traditional "After Party" BBQ at their facility. It's always the perfect way to wind down after a busy show day!

Special thanks to John Abel, Kerry Beach, and Brian & Del Caughman for getting up early and working the event. Also, we wish to thank all the vendors and sponsors:

    Bridgestone
    Foreign Cars Italia
    Ferrari Market Letter
    Cavallino Magazine

    Meguiars
    Firebirds
    Queen City Ballroom
    Shower Me With Love
    Another Broken Egg Café
    Try Sports

And now, the winners of the voting:

    Best Classic 8-Cylinder:

Congrats, Patrick. The 308 / 328 series of cars have really aged well and participation was great.

I believe Kevin defined V12 vintage by 1972 or earlier. Obviously, all of these Ferraris are truly special collector cars.

Regardless, I didn't expect to beat out all those remaining magnificent V12s - TR, Boxers (512 BB, 512 BBi), 456, 456M, 550, 575. What an incredible group to be in. If you like V12 Ferraris, there was just so much to admire.

I think the Lambo Mercielago, that sneaked in and parked next to my 612, gets an assist. :)

Congrats to you as well!! Several people commented to me about your car. Its so stealthy looking in that color it drew a lot of attention.

    Agreed.

I believe the next local event would probably be Motori Italiani Charlotte 2015 in Blakeny. This event is really cool, because it includes ALL Italian Cars & Motorcycles - usually over 100 entries. I expect it to be sometime in late March or early April; but, only Kevin knows for sure. ;)

Also, don't forget about the Euro Auto Festival at the BMW factory in Spartanburg, SC. I believe it is on October 18th - just a few weeks away:

Thanks to everyone that came out and supported this fun event and congratulations to all of the class winners! I agree with Adam though that we are all winners and we are very blessed for being able to participate in an event like this. I hope that events like these will help keep the car hobby alive and inspire some of the many young people that attended to keep it going once we all age out!

Hello everyone. Congratulations to Kevin for another great CAFE event. Thanks also for those who posted all the photos. If any of you are eager for a next Ferrari event, please join us October 17 through 19 for a weekend at Beaufort NC. Details are available here in the North Carolina section. This is a great weekend, very reasonable cost, and open to everyone (not just FCA members). Please contact me or Jim Meek for more info. Hope to see some of the Charlotte contingent at Beaufort! Thanks, Keith
