Was hoping for it to be more aesthetically unique. Looks very similar to the ZO6 but over 1,000hp is damn impressive!

The split window and elimination of the frunk will be the biggest differences. Also, any new colors just for the ZR1 may make it more recognizable. Hope more info on pricing and delivery dates is provided tonight.

There's no way the ZR1 (LT7 engine) has 1064HP. That's nearly 400HP more than a Z06. The engine will be somewhere in the 825-850HP range, IMO. I do think the "Zora" will have that 4 digit HP (LT7 plus front electric motor).
    I don't buy the "leak".

Remember it's twin turbocharged. Plus electric motors gives you 1064

The supposed press release stated that it was an engine design similar to the Z06 but modified to handle the additional hp. I didn't see the video before it was pulled so can't comment on that but those who did stated that it appeared to be real as it included various Corvette staff. Wait until tonight.

Looks like I may have to start working harder so I can keep my ZO6 and get the ZR1. :D

The original engine plan from years ago showed the ZR1 ICE only and the Zora with the ZR1 engine (LT7) and front electric motor

    FWIW…
There’s a thought in some Corvette circles that Zora will be a ZR1 option package, NOT a seperate model.

incredible but i hope it can put all that power down at low speeds unlike the 1000hp demons that struggle.

best thing about it to me is that it might make z06 more available now that new shiny toy is in play

Wow! Just immense power. 800+ lb-ft too! This thing with no wing is going to absolutely run 9’s and trap close to 150 mph. For a car that will cost $200k optioned. So amazing.

A year before it’s available for order from dealer, so figure some delays likely. We’re looking at 18 months.

Almost like waiting for a Ferrari! :D

Talked with my dealer and he said he can't talk until embargo is lifted tonight. Maybe some more news then.

I like how they hid the rear brake ducts in the end of the wishbone; that's a pretty clean look. Like the Z06, I like the look of the car without the dive planes and huge wing, but the car is pretty amazing.
