Hi all, I am considering to buy a used 360. I have a target, a red spider, but the high mileage really make me hold my step. Here is the selling advertisement of that car: Upgraded Ferrari CS TCU! Faster clutch pick up, faster gear change (150ms only, same as F430), clutch setting by Auto Italia Titanium exhaust with stock valve - BEST 360 SOUND EVER! You must hear it to believe it. Also have stock CS exhaust if you think its too loud. All upgrades / new items ORIGINAL Ferrari. -New clutch by Auto Italia (2013). CS TCU means clutch pickup super fast! -New cambelt and other belts (2014) -New suspension - 16x bushings replaced (2014) -Upgrade CS rear anti-roll bar (2013), 20% uprated vs stock -New radiator fan 2x (2014) -New rear RH wheel bearing (2014) Also selling 360 OPTIONS, I keep it because it is original CS: -Original CS Titanium Spring 4x (+ $35,000), 20% stiffer than stock. Can use for F430 to change to 16m or Scuderia spec. -NEW CS Factory Exhaust (UNOPENED - includes mount, etc) (+ $25,000) I contacted the seller and the car is at 90k km. At 90k , will the engine need to be rebuild soon? If so, how much is it gonna be? if anyone can share the cost of owning and driving a 360 would be the best. Thanks a lot!!
Hi, You didnt state what year the car is and where you live. Also how much is the seller asking? Wish you also shared some photos of the car. There are also so many posts here already about the questions you asked. Perhaps use the search tool & do some reading when you have time. Here is my post about my experience owning and driving my 360. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/463215-my-experience-owning-ferrari-360-spider-f1-after-7-months-ownership.html Dam
Those numbers for the exhaust are pretty outrageous. Will the engine need a rebuild? It shouldn't, if it has been correctly maintained along the way. You'll want to review the service history carefully. If there's an incomplete service history with this specific car, walk away. Also, there's a sticky to the 360 buyer's guide you'll want to read about buying a used car and the operating / maintenance costs. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/191837-faq-shopping-used-360-a.html
Stop reading Jalopnik and Porsche boards for advice on Ferrari longevity. 1) The car will not suddenly catch fire and incinerate "because it wants to" 2) Ferrari engines aren't "delicate" creatures that need to be rebuilt at 100k km. Would you rebuild a Porsche engine at that mileage? No? Then why would you rebuild a Ferrari engine at 90k km. My car is currently at approx. 92,000km and every weekend I get in, and I start it. I drive her on the weekend and then turn off the key on sunday. No CEL's. No problems, though I might have to replace my upper transmission mount. Drives fine.. but I suspect I'm going to have to replace it this year. As reliable as my Boxster. Many of those things that were done didn't HAVE to be done.. welcome to Ferrari ownership. Get a PPI before you buy it. The drivers manual has a schedule that extends to 120,000 MILES. Its only lived half its life.
With that kind of mileage I think you are safe to post the ad so others can chime in. The Ferrari owners manual has the service intervals printed inside for the car up to 125,000 miles. I think this is higher than some cars these days! If the price is cheap enough it might make sense but you will have a terrible time trying to sell it when you do. Even if the car is great! Make sure you don't overpay. My main concern would be that it was a rental car at some point but if that is priced in too now we are talking.
90k km...is mentioned above. this is the ad I believe ©öµo¨®ºô 28car.com s954984 - ªk©Ô§Q 360 SPIDER [¦Û] 2002 49¸U
