    we are ordering a Toyota Rav4 for my daughter who lives in Az.
    buying from local dealer in cali and shipping/driving it to Az asap.
    will i need to pay cali sales taxes and registration?

    I imagine your dealership or DMV should be able to provide most accurate answer, …
    … but I think as long as it is appropriately transported (with proper documentation) directly from the dealership to AZ without being driven on any public roads in CA, it may not need to be registered, insured or taxed in CA.
