    Hello all,

In Virginia, does the seller of an automobile need to sign the title in the presence of a Notary?

    Thank you!

I don't believe so. I've never have and DMV didn't balk.

Correct, nor does the seller have to write down the selling price in your presence either ;)

They only have to endorse (sign over) the clear title. That's it, easy, and straightforward.
