Well, this is an instance where the seller should be paying the buyer for taking the car. :p :)
What someone could do is put carbon fiber F355 panels on the tub with one-piece front, and extend the rear bodywork about 8 inches to match Enzo/R8 wheelbase since the rear has been cut off already. Full tube chassis and rollbar. No roof. Get a wrecked or stripped R8 with title. Install R8 V10 AWD drivetrain and suspension. R8 has the same rear track width as 355 and 5" more front track width. It will think it's an R8 and be registered as an R8 because this rari's VIN is unlikely to ever get titled again. Augment will build your F40 style wheels to mount over the massive R8 brakes. Congrats. You now have an R8 with a custom Ferrari-shaped body. Then race, or at least hard park at Cars and Coffee. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A fine lifestyle choice. I just chose the R8 as a rear engine platform that is readily available where a swap could be done from one complete parts car. One could definitely do the same with a Ferrari drivetrain. This F355 is never being restored. Either it gets built into some kind of Frankenstein project car or you take the fender and doors for use elsewhere and scrap the rest.
