anybody have this kind of aftermarket warranty insurance? who do you go thru, number? I bought the power15 from Ferrari but it seems like they don't cover everything. I've do some searching but responses seem to get a little heated at times.

The power warranty covers almost everything you would want. Full coverage on any mechanical maladies, but not routine maintenance. Someone please chime in if I'm missing anything in regards to coverage limits.

99% of aftermarket warranties are practically scams and should be avoided.

Sorry to disagree but this is blatantly not true.
In fact, the Ferrari power warranty is one of the worst among the premium sports car manufacturers. So much so that it’s financially not worth bothering with.

Fuel pump failure - not covered
Leaking Water pump - not covered
Leaking gearbox bearing seals - not covered
Leaking engine gaskets - not covered
    Leaking shocks - not covered
    Failed hoses - not covered

    the list goes on…

That’s on your dealer for not fighting Maranello’s BS. It’s the same with every warranty and insurance claim ever. Yes Ferrari is the most difficult, but having a good service manager that you’re friendly with is important. Everything you listed should’ve been covered barring any extenuating circumstances.

You also seem to be in the EU. Coverage might be different over there.

I know the power warranty doesn’t cover soft tops but not sure about hard top convertibles.

I hope to never use my Power warranty. It’s probably (likely) a waste but after having a PTU failure it’s piece of mind….theres zero chance I would ever buy an aftermarket warranty

The coverage here in europe is the same as in the US. Read the Ts&Cs and weep.

There are plenty of US Fchatters who have had the items mentioned on my list refused because the failures simply aren’t covered by the warranty.

If you bought the 4th and 5th year warranty extension and then transitioned to the year to year power warranty the terms are different.

I still maintain that if you want to actually have things covered (even oil leaks) you have to have a good service manger that knows the ins and outs of the game. There's always a way to spin the problem so it gets covered.

I purchased an aftermarket warranty by LaSalle here in the US. 3 year plan, bumper to bumper and $500 deductible. Had an issue with the CAN unit and was replaced without any hassle. So far very happy with it. PM me and I can put you in touch with my agent.

I wld be absolutely shocked if a 3rd party warranty paid out on a Ferrari- in my experience total waste of money riddled with redtape

See the attachment for details of the Ferrari "New Power" warranty. The first paragraph says it takes over (if someone pays for it) when the initial new car warranty ends, but it was included when I bought my 2016 FF a couple of years after the new car warranty had expired and the car was without any warranty coverage.

This is helpful. I have been soft looking at an ff with a warranty included from Ferrari.

As long as the warranty covers the ptu and the dct I don’t really care about the other stuff.

Yeah I figure I roll the dice with the warranty for the next two years and just refurbish it when it fails. Mainly want to avoid a $10-15k disaster right after I get it.

I think you would have to be a super A-List customer to get a dealer to lie for you. Also, any repair that you would pay out of pocket will net the dealer much more than he would receive from Ferrari for the same repair.
